OFFICIAL "What Mods Should I Buy?" Sedan Thread
Hey guys looking for some input for my 04 OB sedan...have around 2 to spend, 2.5 max (not including tires) on a stock (besides black grill) sedan...Behind the I of INFINITI, there was a coat or two that was missing (wasn't me) so for now I just rebadged it. If you go up to the trunk and look close there is some outlining around the I, where you can tell paint is missing. and am considering my options..here's what im thinking so far.
Option 1: VMR V710's, drop springs, camber kits
Option 2: Stay with stock sport 17s, drop springs, either have professional body shop debadge and fix up trunk, OR buy both a hikkatadori CF trunk and CF hood (my stock hood has major swirling/some faint scratches), have window trim/handles blacked out. There's also some shop selling used coupe 18's that I could check out, theyre with tires, and asking 800 (but I don't know the exact condition of tread/rims)
Option 3: Used rims (Coupe 18s/350z enthusiasts?) coilovers and camber kits
Any input? Or maybe I was thinking of getting cheaper used wheels such as coupe 18s with option 1, and have the trunk redone as well. Thanks

Ok I am about to take the plunge into suspension. My final choices are 350z H&R springs and Tokico blues or CXRacing coilovers. I don't really like ebay parts but I haven't heard bad things about the coilovers from the 240 guys so I don't think they are crap. I am just worried about bottoming out the spring and shock setup since it is a really low spring. I would prefer to have name brand stuff on my car but the price is tempting. LMK what you guys think.
I have an 04 G35x ..I wanted to put a borla exhaust on it but I read around that it wasn't possible :/ ... Soo now my final options are other mods(ex.intake ect) for performance(hopefully performance I can feel but not necessary) ..
" What mod should I buy " that can benefit my g35x ? HP wise

Hey guys, I'm pretty new to the site still and have done a fair amount of reading including this entire thread and have a few questions of my own.
1) I'm very interested in the 5/16" plenum spacer, but a little worried on the install due to the fact that I have to go with the copper iso-thermal one being in the midwest. How much additional work is it to add the parts for the copper version? Like is there even more tear down of the engine which can lead to even more potential issues/mistakes? I haven't done any engine mods before, but feel handy enough with mechanical things to give it a shot, I'd just hate to bite off more than i can chew and end up causing damage to the engine if this mod has that potential. I know my best case scenario would be to find someone to help me out that is more engine savvy, but at the moment I cant think of anyone I already know.
2) Assuming I go ahead and put it on, I noticed Ebay has a few sellers with the same product for a bit better price and was wondering if anyone has experience with them and knows that they are 100% legit to being the ones I would get direct from Motordyne.
"westcovinanissan" has a great rating and a lot of sales while "ocinfiniti" is also rated well, doesnt have near the sales made, but was brought up in this thread previously. So basically I'm looking for any further or more inside information to help pick the right buyer for this product, even if that leans back towards the full priced motordyne themselves.
3) I have some interest in lowering the car a bit, but I had no idea that you need new shocks/struts as well and cant just use lowering springs by themselves. What exactly is changing to cause all the added stress to the stock shocks etc? Just faster wear and tear with the stiffer ride?
4) Is it safe to lower now and get new rims later or can the rims be a big factor in what type of drop I am allowed to run so it's best to do them together or rims first? Basically I would hate to do a drop and then have to change it all out again because that setup only worked for stock sized wheels.
And i suppose I should add that this would be for an '06 X that just recently hit 80k miles.
Thanks in advance!

^ all the motordyne spacers on Ebay are legit. Theyre the same. Installation shouldnt be much more difficult with the cooper iso thermal spacer. You can put springs without shocks but in about 30k miles your stock shocks might start leaking and need to be replaced. Drop before rims or both at the same time. Dropping it first is fine cause when you get aftermarket rims the tire profile is less so the diameter of the wheel and tire is same as stock. Also rims before drop looks ugly
So if I do add a 5/16 plenum iso copper spacer,JWT pop charger and megan racing test pips will i notice the HP increases? Also will any of that decrease my torque? I heard somewhere that adding the Plenum will increase HP and decrease torque and I rather have more torque... Is there a way to do that? I have a 05 g35x sedan btw not sure if i can do much to it since its AWD :/
Where did you get that front lip? looks clean
question
Can anyone with OEM 19's that have only about 1" gap in both front and back can share what suspension set up they have? I hate the gap in the front!!! I was thinking coupe springs in rear and Z springs in front, or coupe springs in front and stock in rear. I just want to make sure ride quality is not changed (I don't want the balance messed up). I have an 03 and I don't have sport suspension.

Where did you find that? Market place? I can't seem to find one at all and when I see one on the market place its gone in a second haha. The HR-Y pipe what is it off of?
HR Y-pipe is a y-pipe off of a High Rev engine (05 and 06 coupes) I believe. Correct me if I'm wrong.
