This mod if done bye a professional is the single most go fast mod you can buy. You will need some engine prep so you don't damage anything but your talking over 400 HP which is an ample change and a serious go fast mod. I have high mileage now and won't be super charging till I have a fresh motor. Just saying if you really want to be ahead of the game save up and get a super charger and tune then continue with all the little stuff. If you don't start with a good base like that you will quickly run out of usefull mods and if you decide to SC you will have to sell most of it because your mods may not be compatable. If anyone has a better answere please chime in just my opinion.
exactly what i thought after thinking about how much i spent on my bolt ons... i plan on getting a SC soon...... wanted to get all the little stuff first then go BIG.

Am I accurate?

Just to make sure I am buying the right part, the Motordyne 5/16 (copper since in live in NY) plenum spacer will fit my '06 g35x sedan and since its AWD/AT I do not have a Rev-up engine so I will not need anything else, is that accurate?

I have an 06 g35x sedan. All that I've done so far is I've gotten new wheels. They are black with a red lip, and I have also painted the calipers red. I was wondering what else I should do to make the car look a little more "complete"

I have a 2006 g35x sedan. I currently have motegi racing wheels. They are black with a red lip, and I have painted my calipers red. What should my next investment be?

Should I powder coat OEM rims semi-gloss black? On 2003 G35 sedan

I am going to buy my dad's car off him. 2003 G35 sedan luxury,Currently it looks like a dad's car obviously. I'm 21 and I want to know what I can do to make it look better without costing me a fortune?

Powder coat rims black?
Tint out windows?
Black out taillight & headlight?

If anyone might know approx. cost that would be nice too. Thanks for help! (New to site)

Nah, I'll pass.
Your new G's not a Honda, leave the tinted lights and other ricer mods for the Civic crowd. Blacked out sedan stockers don't look good imo, leave them silver, lower the car and put some spacers behind them until you can buy some new wheels. You can get a nice stance with Z springs or a combo of Z fronts, G coupe rears, look at the suspension sticky in this forum. Tinted windows are a must, tint away. Look at the build threads on the media page for other mod ideas. What color is the car?

Is the Kinetix intake plenum worth it? I already have a Motordyne 5/16'' spacer and was wondering if I should invest in the intake plenum, is it worth it with the spacer and will it still fit without other modifications?

G35 sedan w/ too much money in mods
Premier Member

The MD spacer gives you more gains than the Kinetix and they can't be used together. Stick with what you've got.

It is silver, do you know the best mods for power? Starting with the cheapest haha (not poor quality but least expensive if that makes sense) I heard something about some spacers? What are the gains and cost on these?

A plenium spacer makes the biggest difference / most gains, definitely should be your first mod. People on here argue all the time about the intakes, I'd personally stay away from any CAI, I have a 3" silicone intake with a revup air box and K&N filter, I'm not gonna lie, I really didn't notice much of a difference although the car seemed to run little smoother when I added the revup airbox, but my stock one had a crack in it. For exhaust the cheap route is an HR y pipe from a 350z with a coupe mid pipe and your stock muffler, it's pretty quite, which is why I went that way, it is a family car. The options and cost only go up from there, my tuner told me high flow cats help a ton but I haven't felt like drop $600 on quality ones and I like it quite. Gears help these cars tremendously, a 3.69 diff from a 07-08 automaic sedan can be modified to fit, it makes a big difference especially if you get a vlsd. There are some that are a direct swap from something like a G37 coupe manual, not sure which year, you'll have to search that one. There's a ton of info on this site and these guys will help you make good choice as long as you don't ask dumb questions and use the search feature. Once you have your bolt ons done spend the money on a tune, if you don't have a doggy door trunk you can use Osiris, get it done by a pro tuner on a dyno. If you do have a doggy door I think there are some piggyback systems you can use you might want to think twice about modding it if you can't tune for the mods.
Good luck
Oh and silver with black wheels, eeeh, not my thing, look on here, some guys manage to pull it off but a lot fail in a big way.

Okay wow that's awesome! Thanks for the help! I'll put that spacer as first on the list. And thanks for exhaust help too. I agree with what you say. The car has good power already in my opinion. And I like that its quite also. I'm also not leaning towards the black rims anymore but I would want new rims. What would you suggest? Not sure if I'm into some all chrome 20's or something like that haha but idk just whatever looks best with silver sedan? I had black rims with chrome lip on my silver prelude. Didn't look bad, that's only reason I thought black again. Thanks for all the input, this site is definitely pretty good
