dont forget about getting a camber kit if you go lower than 2 inches, or ur gonna run thru tires very fast.
and if you got AWD makes it a bit harder since you cant really mess with staggered wheels...
Sweet im running 245/35 already so ill be good but u said i would need a camber kit with he tein springs?

Actually you CAN run a staggered wheel setup like the coupes do on an AWD.. it's not so much the WIDTH of the wheel/tire combo.. it's the overall CIRCUMFERENCE of the wheel/tire combo.. more so the DIFFERENCE between the front and rear wheel heights.

For example if you're running 225/45/19 in the front that has an overall height (vertical profile) of 26.1", which rotates at approx. 796 revs per mile, then you run 245/35/19's on the rear which has a vertical profile (height) of 25.8" and rotates at 805 revs per mile, the DIFFERENCE in rotational speed between the front and rear wheels is what will mess with the AWD system, depending on what differential the system is programmed to trigger on, it will fire the "SLIP" light and try to compensate for what it interprets wheel spin road conditions and who knows WHAT state the system will go into if this condition continues.. may error out and put the car into that funky state where the throttle by wire system will never let you go above 20 or 30 mph... had that trigger on mine due to a bad brake sensor one time!?

So anyways.. that's what will kill you with staggered setups.. if there is too much difference between the front and rear height/circumference... yes, the AWD system will have an aneurysm.. all by design at that. The key is to get this to a minimum as possible.. plus it will mess with your speedo reading.. the SMALLER the tire from OEM.. the SLOWER your car is actually going, regardless of the speedo reading.. the BIGGER.. the FASTER you're going.

in this example, with the 225/45 (26.1"@796 revs per mile) in the front, fitting a 255/35 in the rear (26.0"@799 revs per mile) would get you within .8 MPH and well within any SLIP sensor issues with the AWD system on the G... that and it would have an AWESOME look to the car with THAT setup!!! HA!!
(time for fender flares at that width!! )

G35X

19x9.5 +22 225/40

19x10.5+17 255/35

currently ride height is 25 1/4 inches from floor to fender, but cambering the front will lower it a but more.

these pics the front is 25 1/16... way too low. under tray scraped at low speeds.

Nice! thanks @RickoG for actually breaking down the science, lol
most people wont get camber kits i did just for the simple fact the guy selling his S Tech was selling the SPC Camber kit as well and i got everything for $200
but other than that, some like the tucked in/ slanted wheel look. if its a daily driver, tires will be destroyed very fast!!!

Yes. Do your research on google and this forum will pop up. Or simply type in G35x on search bar and many threads are made regarding this question. Good luck!

Lowered on Tein H-Tech Springs, 19" Parallax Verde Wheels

I'm going to paint the wheels soon because I don't like the current look,
What does everyone think about matte silver? I'm trying to go for a budget Vossen cv3 look.
