what the best combo for a smooth ride similiar to stock plan on getting xxr 521 on 05 sedan looking for somethig to close the gap nothing to crazy maybe an inch

 

G/Z spring combo with original non-sport shocks (temporary). OEM G35 2007 sport rims: front: 225/50r18 rear:245/45r18.

 

im running g/z combo. 245/45/18 all around on sport suspension. this is a nice but subtle drop. closed the gap about an inch and kept stock ride quality. when its time for new tires ill be going up to 19s.

I have a 05 sport sedan and I'll be picking up a full 2004 350z suspension (unrevised) tomorrow with about 60k on them.
Correct me if I'm wrong but this is what I learned from reading various threads.
-Running only 350z spring on a sedan will lower the car an inch but the rear will look saggier than the front. That's why some prefer the G/Z combo.
-Stock 350z shocks are a bit shorter than g35 shocks
-Do not run revised 350z springs on sport tuned sedan shocks because the shocks cannot dampen the stiffness of the spring correctly. (Kinda why I decided to pick up this set.)

So my question is this:
Can I run 350z springs and shocks for the front and only change the rear springs to 350z? I'm hoping the longer length of the rear shocks with the rear 350z springs will even the height a little bit.

Or should I just change the whole suspension to 350z?
Or just run the springs?

 

The only way to know for sure if the springs are unrevised is by the colored dots on the springs. Unrevised springs have one pink dot on the fronts and a red and white dot on the rears. These unrevised springs will have the same spring rates as your sport suspension so yes, you can run them with your stock sport struts/shocks. I believe running the full Z suspension will drop your ride a full 1.4 inches- someone please correct me if im wrong! Hope this helps!

 

Also, its not that the unrevised springs sag in the back- the rears tend to be a bit bouncy. Nissan cars are infamous for the "reverse rake" appearance of their suspensions; ie lower stance in the back than in the front. And that would be why people do the G/Z combo.

 

exactly the reason why i got bc coils so i wont have that "reverse rake"... my front is still a little .25 higher in the front but it lowers .25 when i get in it... so win win for me! plan on lowering it one full turn.

 

350Z Eibach sportlines on my 07 G35x with stock 17s. Will it work?

 

I'm not to sure about the 2nd generation like yours, but if yours was the 1st gen I believe it would work...

 

Ok so I have been looking for the answer to this question for a while and I know it's on here so here it goes. If I take 350z S-Tech springs that are a 1.5 inch drop will that be a 2.5 inch drop for the 04 sedan???

 

Yes. 1" for a sedan and 1/2" for a coupe. If you use 350z springs

 

Thanks MPJ now if I use the stock struts from the sedan will it have a hop or a bounce??

 

That can't answer! I bought new 350z shocks and struts when I bought springs (teins). Plus I cut a coil off my springs. Whit all that I have no bounce or hop. So I going to no you shouldn't have any hop or bounce. IMO. Hope that helps. PM me if u have anymore question. I'll help as much as I can.
