We seem to have 2 different letters floating around. Pretty sure my letter just said "G35's" and referenced years up to 2007.

 

I wonder how they know who to send the letter to?

I haven't received a letter - but now I need to drive the car and make sure the damn fans are working... I rarely drive it so I've never paid any attention

 

wonder what the story is with the x's then? or if it's only the rwd's?

Fantastic! I just paid about $300 to have these replaced at the dealer a few months ago. I am not the first owner of the car - will I get a letter?

 

I bought mine used and got the letter,

call your local dealer and you can have the warranty changed over

 

definitely call the dealer and ask about it. You may be able to get reimbursed for that money.

I purchased my car from a private dealer as the second owner and got the notice.

 

That is good, but they need to extend the warranty for the valve covers. That problem appears to be alot more common and, since you don't have to change plugs till 100k, won't usually be caught until after the warranty is up.

 

I also received the letter last week. Mine is just a 06 RWD, purchased new in late 06. My bumper to bumper won't expire till 2010 Dec 31st, but with only 16K on the odometer, guess I still have some time to worry about the front end and the valve cover issues.

 

Got my letter yesterday. Mine is a 05 G35x sedan. Was very intrigued to know about the radiator. Will be keeping an eye on the car to make sure it doesn't overheat. Pretty sure mine said 2004-2006's g35's.

 

what are the areas to look at?

do you want to idle and see if it gets hot?

 

If the AC is on, the fans should come on at idle.

Got two letters, one for my '05 6MT and one for my '06 5AT.

I just bought my car yesterday, darn it. If I have 28k and bought it from a Lexus dealership, do I call the local Infiniti dealership to have the warranty changed over? Also should I just ask about the letter or wait for it?
