hmm well if it happened once in the right one, dont you think itll happen again at some point? i just dont want you to have to go through this with the company again once you have the left headlight resolved. you should atleast the seal the right one up when your sealing the new left one. damn dude i feel so bad you had to deal with all this sh*t, such a bummer. hope the rest goes smoothly

^ Silicone would probably be ok, but you may want to consider something else. Silicone releases a weak acid as it cures that could theoretically cause a problem. It very well may not cause a problem, but I'm sure after what you've been through with the lights, you would probably rather be safe than sorry.
