We have an '04 6MT sedan and an '06 6MT coupe (the coupe has the Rev VQ). We have experienced no oil consumption issues (as discussed on these forums) with either car. The coupe sees rather consistent 400+ mile runs (@ 80mph), between Shreveport, LA and San Antonio, TX, a couple of times a month - still no appreciable oil consumption issues (about a pint per 1K miles - well within normal parameters).

After spending time in the new 2nd gen Sedans...if i were to buy a new G35...it would be an 07+

I'd prob shoot for an '08 G35xS with the paddle shifters and NAV to save a little coin....but i'd really like to get in a G37x. I had a white loaner '09 for a few days and it was AWESOME. Fast as hell! I've never driven a 4-door car that could move like that thing. If i get my transfer to San Diego next year..i'll prob get a 6-spd '09

^ +1. i'll be looking into '09 6MT's in a year or so. hopefully my '04 keeps treating me (and my wallet) well until then.

back on topic: i have an '04 6MT, and know of 3 others with rev-up 6MT's. i've had no problems, and two of the rev-ups are OK. but one rev-up had a long block replaced due to OC. small sample group, but there you go...

I love our 08 G35xS. It is incredible how fast that thing is.

I definitely am going to lean towards an 07 6mt. Just a little nicer i guess.
