Re: 2005 G35 Sedan Production Pics

I'm not a big fan of the smooth hood. I like how the 03-04 sedan hoods are similar to the 350z's, one of the styling aspects I liked over the coupe... of course non-smooth hood is now on all the nissan cars, and the smooth hood will be on all the Infiniti's. Like it or not, we'll have to get used to it.

Re: 2005 G35 Sedan Production Pics

reality takes time to sink in...

example: some said the wheels on the 05's are not nice...it's a trend...give it time and it'll shine over the older rims...

it takes time to adjust to new things...but it's funny how the one's bashing the 05's are always the 03 and 04's... =)

Re: 2005 G35 Sedan Production Pics

I am one of the members of this forum who do not own a G35 yet. I am waiting for an 05.

Yes, I did consider an 04, but ONLY because of the price break I could get on it. The 05 is better in just about every way. The only ways it's NOT better are in subjective areas (e.g. I don't like the new clock placement).

Hey, if I owned an 04 right now, I might be saying the same things...bashing the 05. But it would be due to sour grapes, and little else.

"Face it, all cars get old, depreciate and you are only showing your immature jealously in running down the newer cars."

You yourself said it was his opinion that so leave it at that - he's not running anybody down and is certainly not as immature as you calling hm jealous. He said he liked the 04's better and many can't blame him - minor changes mean alot to this crowd and the car look different - for the worse I might add - and i'm not jealous - i just like my outdated look better. The round front sucks

“You yourself said it was his opinion that so leave it at that - he's not running anybody down”

SixFive – I’m sorry, when someone say’s that I’m full of $hit, I consider that running me down. What is it then, a complement to say someone is full of $hit? If you think it is acceptable to say this, then you obviously have a different perspective than me.

I have no problem with different opinions but in my mind this person is very immature. If you don’t like the car or the changes – then fine but don’t tell me that my opinion is $hit!!!

I do enjoy the constructive opinions and intelligent discussion on this forum. The reply from SERB was neither

Please reread my original post, it is not intended to those that differ than me. I stand by what I said regarding SERB – From the immaturity of his post, I do believe he is jealous.

If this person speaks for you or if you find his post worthwhile, then there is not much more I can say.

Re: 2005 G35 Sedan Production Pics

how can you tell me what i like or not? you can't assume that everyone will like the way the 05 looks. i like the current coupe 7-spoke wheels and i'm going to get a set for my sedan. in my personal opinion the wheels and hood and taillights look very feminine. u may think it looks smooth. i just prefer a more beefy exterior that is smooth already. in the interior, there's a huge chunk of aluminum just floating there that seems out of place. i love the way my interior is pitch black with just the dash lights gleaming at night. but your going to love your car when you buy it, just as us 03-04 owners do ours. just the way it is, leave it at that. so you cannot tell me what i like, or will like. i can appreciate the 05 but its just not for me.

You did respond in your post to fotodad and not serb. I don't even see serb's messages - it's like they don't exist in my world. My bad

Re: 2005 G35 Sedan Production Pics

I'm sorry but newer does not always equal better.
ask all those people who bought the new 7 series BMW.

I agree with the others who say the design is not as agressive as the 2003/2004. Looks more smooth and bubbley. the new rims just don't match the car too.

this is not sour grapes, just observations and opinions.

Re: 2005 G35 Sedan Production Pics

this is in response to the trade question. i like and dislike the 05 g35. as to if i would trade my 03 for one. only if you gave me one with all the same options as mine and if you traded even up. the g35's dont hold there value at all. i tried trading my sedan in for a coupe 6 months after i got it. they wanted to give me 10k less then what i paid for it, and mine has every option the car came with.

Re: 2005 G35 Sedan Production Pics

you said it, NEW 7 series, it's re-designed from the ground up

03 / 04 vs 05 is still the same car...

as for 05's being weak, not boxy, feminine...haha...this car stemmed from an 03/04...it's all from an infiniti shop that created the so called "03's and 04's"...but just with added new features / new changes to differentiate that it's the new 2005 model...i am sure the trade in / resale vaule will be higher due to the new changes/extra horses...

how many 03 / 04 owners out there thinks the 05 is hotter?

total respect for all you guys who love your 03/04's...the g is a nice car =)

Re: 2005 G35 Sedan Production Pics

I think everybody should just calm down for a moment. You see, this is a win-win situation for everybody. As far as I can gether from the replies, the crowd is split into two camps

Camp A: People who don't yet own the 05 sedan and love the new design. Also people own own early 03 sedans and love the changes.

Camp B: People who just bought a 04 sedan and absolutely hate the new design.

Ironicly that works out for everybody here. 04 people keep your cars, 05 to-be G35 owners clap your hands. 03 & Coupe people just hang around and enjoy the show. Let's not fight over trivial stuff like this.

Re: 2005 G35 Sedan Production Pics

See.. there's another thing you have to take into consideration during this comparison; In March when I bought my 04' G35 Sedan 5AT W/Premium.. I paid 31,200 for it. I would LOVE For you to show me a 05' for that price... I just don't see it happening until 2005 actually arrives so its a give and take. Are there better things? Absolutely, are there worse things? Probably. Is the G35 still THE car to own? That goes without question. Nissan isn't stupid.. they realize this car is doing much better than they could have ever dreamed, as its bringing the sales back their way. Nissan/Infiniti designs for the last 3-4 yrs (Quest outstanding lol) have been top notch and have been eye catchers, this is just a continuation of that.

Re: 2005 G35 Sedan Production Pics

Aluminum trim, bigger brakes, & Intelligent key should have been done on the first '03 G35 Sedan. New tail lights is good enough, it's a "Skyline after all." Everything else looks like a 2007 luxury neon. :\
