Been watching the Lexus IS myself, I think they plan to build the next one as a kick *** car, and plan to do what the "G" did, taking over as top dog in the "near-luxury" small sports sedan category.

Love my "G", but time marches on, and there will be better cars soon (maybe even from Infiniti, eh?).

Hmm...hopefully this won't open any old wounds but here goes.

I'm new on this forum and am considering a 05 G35 sedan. Infiniti did a few things for the 05 that I really like:
1) GOOD - More power
2) GOOD - I like the 05 interior much better (I decided not to buy a G before b/c of the previous interior).

However, Infiniti just made my decision much harder for the following reasons:
1) VERY BAD - Changes to Body, specifically lack of the nismo aero kit makes it look bland to me. If they had kept the nismo as an option for 05, this decision would be a no-brainer...however as a not yet owner of the G35s, I'll say it...the 03/04 nismo kitted sedans look much better to me and I prefer the exterior styling of those...

I have not seen a 05 sedan in person, only from pics in the 05 brochure. To me, the new exterior,although they kinda integrated the aero kit look to the car, it just falls short of the nismo kitted sedans I see on this site...Yes, my opinion is based on pictures, but the nismo kit pictures look much better than the 05's imho.

Although many might be able to overlook the new exterior styling since it's pretty close to before or inconsequential to them, I unfortunately, cannot. Hopefully when the 05 sedans actually start arriving at the dealers maybe they can do a nismo kit retrofit on an 05, that is the only way I think I would get an 05. Now I don't know what to do...
