what?!! uhoh...now it just got dirty. in all seriousness, g35 is gonna go down in history as one of the great cars that came out of nissan. lets not turn this thread into a flame war. everybody made some valid points (except GeeG...just plain sophmoric) and i think thats why this forum is respected. and thats why i've been on it for so long myself. and don't be dissing Koreans fool. we'll kimchi your a$$ haha.

just plain sophmoric - "it's sophomoric, learn how to spell"
Just checked out your car, big wheels, wait wait...is that a shift ****? Oh my gosh, it's an automatic. Wow, must be damn fast to step on the gas and let the engine do all the work. The shift **** almost fool me that it was a stick wannabe. Do you shift to neutral on hills so it rolls down a bit and then shift back to D? That's if you know what I am talking about.

Dude, you shouldn't be typing now...
You should have left hand on wheel, right hand on your momo otherwise you can't fake a stick on your car. Is that how you drive? It makes you look tough, that is of course till someone realizes it's a slushbox. Start concentrating on the gas pedal. Make sure you plan both foot on it otherwise the engine may not know you want to downshift. =)

Sangwl...
Before your last response, you only had 19 posts. Again, what's your point?
Why don't you go back to your my350z.com board then? Are their forums filled with immature hotshots like yourself?
Hmm...a 350Z owner who's heatedly involved in a G35 Sedan forum. Interesting. Why don't you lend him one of your matchbox G's.

Re: 2005 G35 Sedan Production Pics
I think everyone will agree that this thread (especially in the past 2-3 pages) has become ridiculous, so I'm reposting what I had said earlier in an attempt to get back to the subject and stop this nonsense...
I for one just think that the '05 styling changes are so minor that I could care less. If there is a "major" restyling, then I might be upset, jealous, and remorseful about my decision. The only "change" I see that could be significant is the increase in HP from 260-280 HP in the 5AT Sedan and to 260-298 HP in the 6MT, and that has yet to be determined if it's a real power increase or just on paper; some have speculated that it was a marketing ploy by Infiniti (many say the ' 03-'04.5 Sedan's HP/Torque numbers were underrated on purpose in the first place).
Until the car mags do the tests and/or until people find out exactly what changed (in the ECU, exhaust, intake, etc.), we won't know. The only thing I would have liked in my car that the '05 has available is the Intelligent Key system; we have it in our 03 FX35 and love it...very cool feature! But, in the meantime, I just don't think the changes are enough to feel remorse about getting an '04.5 and not waiting for the '05...just my $0.02.
btw -- I still don't like the look of those new '05 wheels; I like my 5-star Infiniti sport wheels better, but again, that's a matter of personal opinion. ;-)

Re: 2005 G35 Sedan Production Pics
Sang likes the 2003/2004 G35 exterior better than the 2005.....
guess not only 2003/2004 owners think its more agressive. there goes that theory.
I respect peoples opinion who think the 2005s look better.
I respect peoples opinion who think the 2003/2004s look better.
I don't respect those who don't respect the opinions of others.

He doesn't count...he has a personal dislike for people who don't own G35s, yet has an opinion on them.
Besides, you have it all wrong...
The "theory" was that the vast majority of current owners prefer the 03/04, and the vast majority of prospective sedan buyers prefer the 05. The preference of current owners is swayed by the fact of their current ownership. That is all!

You are sooo right - the G35 already has earned a place in Nissan's Hall of Fame - beginning with the moment it won MT Magazine's Car of The Year award, and continuing through all of the other positive test/comparison reports and fanfare that still continue to accrue.
I paid cash for my 2004 6MT sedan, and if I want an '05, I'll do the same there, too. I'm not fabulously wealthy or anything, but this is my price range, and I buy what I want, after careful research & analysis.
So far, though, I think they've "softened" the look of the '05 front end so much it looks like a damned Lexus ES now, at least from the photos I've seen. Photos can be very deceiving, though, as I didn't care for the overall lines of the "G" itself when I first saw it in a magazine, but liked it much better in person (sometimes the two dimensional aspects of a photo just can't show you how the styling ties together and flows in real life 3D), so we'll see.
As far as the horsepower numbers, I'll have to see the magazine test reports before I put much stock in the horsepower "increase", as there may not be nearly as much difference between the '04 and '05 performance as the revised numbers would suggest. Depending on how it all comes down, maybe I will get an '05 6MT, but right now, I doubt it.
Been looking at the new Caddie CTS-V 6MT rocket ship - don't like the styling as much (although I think it's on par with the G35's '05 "revised" look, at least in the photos), and the price is $10,000 - $15,000 higher (sticker), but then the performance numbers are $10,000 - $15,000 better, too !
Seriously doubt that I'll dump my '04 6MT soon, but I can if I want - so for me, the issue of "you're just jealous of the '05 cause you're stuck with an '03 or '04" doesn't apply, and at least in the pictures, the '05 simply doesn't look as good (read sporty or aggressive) as the '04 - it has lost it's "edgy" look in favor of a more "mainstream" styling, IMHO.
The REST of this is intended for all of you who posted with the (not very well reasoned) opinion that the PRESENT owners of G35's are somehow not Infiniti's target market with the new "G" - it's absolutely STUPID for anyone to make the comment that Infiniti is not marketing to ME as the owner of an '04 G35, but rather to all of YOU who don't even own a "G". Infiniti is marketing to everyone, and I'm sure that they would like to sell even more cars than they do, and they would certainly like to attract all non Infiniti owners to the brand. Maybe this new styling will enable them to do so, but the asinine idea that they would not care about what current G35 owners will think of any redesigns is ridiculous - WE are a proven commodity, a CUSTOMER who pulled the trigger and BOUGHT one - vs. all of YOU Wannabes, Maybes, Probably Nots with an opinion and either empty pockets and too much time on your hands, or lacking the guts to jump in the deep end and actually do something besides talk smack. Infiniti, like every other company in the world, hopes to foster brand loyalty and wants to keep the customers they've got and add to them, not alienate or lose their KNOWN, PAYING customers to appease those SHOPPERS who may or may not buy, who knows??
I respect everyone's right to voice their opinions regarding anything and everything - just don't fool yourself into thinking that you are somehow in a "higher" position on the Infiniti food chain as a NON-owner over us PROVEN commodities, aka OWNERS of Infiniti products. I'm sure YOU NONowners are not receiving the nice letters and solicitations I receive a couple of times a month from Infiniti (both corporate and my dealer). Also, what a stupid comment that we are only comparing our '03 and '04 cars to the '05 - who the hell else can compare the cars, owners of non-existent '01 and '02 G35's ?? - or maybe the owners of '06 and '07 models that have not even been "born" yet should be doing the comparisons ?? Only someone who drives a G35 regularly CAN compare the old vs. new, everyone else's opinion is based on their own feelings, devoid of facts (and don't tell me how you test drove one - whoopie, like that is in any way "knowing" a car!). Hello .... Hello ..... Is there intelligent life on your planet (or in your high school) ??

Re: 2005 G35 Sedan Production Pics
Like i have been saying all along..."my opinion" "my preference" i have been on this forum a long time and i respect peoples opinions and i have never "flamed" anyone. i however do not respect flamers. i have an automatic...ok...so what?! i was also one of the first people to get this car from my dealer. For those that don't know...this car was only available this way for a while. i have spent a lot of money and time getting the car the way i like it. I know some like my car and some might not...so what!? it's my car. it's sad that this thread got destroyed by a few stupid people. oh well. by the way...i think that Sangwl has come off the wrong way. this guy is my friend and a car nut. he represents himself well on my350z.com and i think in trying to defend us his message got tangled up in the flaming. take it easy on the guy...he's only got 2 doors! haha =) later
