2005 G35 Sedan Production Pics
I took these pictures with my K700i, not the best resolution in the world, but it should suffice.
Observations:
Overall styling of the sedan is much better than the 04. A sharper and cleaner look.
The edgy hood lines are gone, replaced with a clean and smooth coupe-style hood with a center line angle. Made a big difference in the front end design IMO.
The old edgy bumper with busy lines is gone, relaced by a coup style bumper. The new sedan bumper has larger openings and less depth. The plastic grill is more protruded than the coupe.
The new headlamps are beautiful in person, they have some raised rings around the headlight housing. The headlamps no longer appear to be bulbous.
The new grill flows with the new hood and bumper, giving it a smooth look similar to the coupe. (but without the bumps)
Overall the front end syling is impressive, a big improvement over the older design. Like the coupe, the new sedan looks more beautiful and striking in person. Looks much sharper, smoother and more classy. The old contrast between edgy and round is no longer there.
Side Profile: Overall the side profile hasn't changed much with the exception of painted side sills. The shape of the new sills also mimick the coupe. New raised tail lamps also shows in the side profile.
Rear end: Mostly the rear end of the 05 sedan remained identical to the 04 with the exception of tail lamps and external trunk release botton. The tail lamps look better in person than the press photos. The outer circle protrudes out slightly, forming a nice 3D effect similar to the FX35 tail lamps. The twin 12LED clusters are not as obviously as the coupe as they are positioned behind some sort of thin reflectors. IMO the new tail lamps are not as unique as the older one, but they look very good. (the new Q45 inherents the unwanted 04 sedan tail lamps) : )
Lastly, the BRAKES. They look like the older OEM brakes on steroid. The new G35 sedan brakes are HUGE!!! While it looks to be two pistons in the front, the calipers are larger than the 04 brakes. The new brakes, while doesn't have the wow factor as the Brembos, look plenty powerful and intimidating.
Enough words, here are the pics:

I dont think it looks much better than the 03-04. The 03-04 has a bolder front look on the car, on the 05 it doesn't look that aggressive, but I do like the front bumper better on the 05. The new tail lights look good but not much better than the 04's, the new rims I dont like the style on them although it does have a nice shine to it. Overall the 05 is not bad, but they could have made it better, Iam just going to wait for the 07-08 I bet you thoughs are going to be so nice.

I'll be replacing my 04 sedan with an M3 in about 18 months. The 05 does have some subtle changes, but not enough for me too trade up. I honestly believe the 03-04 model was underrated in terms of hp and the 05's additional ponies will be unnoticeable.
I do like the new rims over the existing stock, but that's what aftermarket is for. The new interior seems a bit more user friendly, but again I love my 04 and until that M3 is in my garage I'm happy.

They fcuked up the G man it looks like **** !!! The 2004 are better it looks to girly, and weak (even though its not). It does NOT look like a MAN'S SPORTS CAR!!!!!!!!! Like jon said it needs to look more AGGRESSIVE!!!
Re: 2005 G35 Sedan Production Pics
Interesting, the front end looks a little more integrated but I like how the grill stood out more on the 04. It also looks as if an external front plate bracket is required to mount a front license plate on the 05. I like the two large openings in the new bumper but personally I'd rather have the NISMO front bumper. The taillights don't do too much for me either. I really dig the interior changes though (I wonder if the parts are interchangable with the older model). But then again I may see the '05 in person and want to switch mine out for one. Overall it looks nice but definitely not as aggressive and bold as it's predecessor.

i find this to be funny...
03 and 04 g's bashing and saying the 05 is not worth it...
you telling me if someone offers them to trade it for 05...they'll all say NO? haha...my answer is they will all trade in a heartbeat
it's ok...to acknowledge the 05's better...it's slightly better than 03 and 04's.....it's a fact of life...the newer the better...just accept it =)
whomever said they won't trade it for an 05 is just flat out denying...

Re: 2005 G35 Sedan Production Pics
how do you justify that though? you telling me you don't want the new styling front/back, new rims, new REAL aluminum interior, new horses? (you added in k&n filter...isn't that adding horses)?
the truth is...every car had it's moment of shine...03's got it during 03...04's got it till the end of the year...and 05 is next...unless you are rich enough to trade it in every year...you just have to accept the fact that each year there will be a new winner... =)
IMHO 03's, 04's you are still very damn nice but you gotta give credit to the new bells & whistles on the 05's...

Re: 2005 G35 Sedan Production Pics
I'm not looking to offend anyone, especially those who are looking to buy an 05, but I can honestly say the 04's exterior looks much better than the 05's. As someone mentioned above, the 04 has a more aggressive look, a faster look, a performance look. The 05 looks too luxury, too soft, too wimpy. I like the aggressive lines in the 04, and I have absolutely no idea why Infiniti decided to eliminate them. The 05 looks like a Honda Accord!
Not having seen a GOOD picture of the 05's interior, I can't comment on the new interior styling.
If there was an 04 and an 05 for sale right next to one another. And both were identical color and had the same options for the same amount of money. I would without hesitation get the 04.
But let's not forget a G is a G. We're all on the same team here!

Me Like:
- Real aluminum trim. (but that should be interchangable with the 03-04's to 05 double din conversion)
- New grill.
- bigger brakes. (I doubt they brake much better)
- Intelligent key
No Likey:
- New headlights. ewwww..
- Front bumper.
- Wheels are ugly. They should have used the same design of the sport wheels and made it an 18".
- Tail Lights. Except the new reverse lights. (I may have to get my hands on a set of those)
The new 05 g35 doesnt have the agressive lines of a sport sedan, but the lines of a luxury sedan.
I would not trade my 04 for an 05, I think the 04 looks much more sporty and agressive.

Re: 2005 G35 Sedan Production Pics
Everyone has their own opinion but I really like the 05 changes. I prefer the 05 but for most people they will not even know the difference (unless you have a G). For someone to say it looks like $hit must not like they way their 03 or 04 looks because it’s not that much difference. Face it, all cars get old, depreciate and you are only showing your immature jealously in running down the newer cars. Peoples attitude never changes but cars do – you will be really pi$$ed off next year, and the next….
