2005 G35 Sedan Production Pics
Re: 2005 G35 Sedan Production Pics
I will save my comments for after someone buys one and tricks it out with some nice wheels.
For now I will say that I wouldn't trade my nismo kitted 03.5 for it.

So sorry, it seems the K700i digital camera is making the '05 sedan look at its worst. Ouch. Everyone! cool off and eat some icecream til we see these new '05 hit the streets.

Is it me or does the coupe and the sedan now share the same front end? Would seem there trying to share more parts to reduce cost. To bad, I kind of like having the coupe and sedan look different. Oh well there still cool looking cars

How many people who DO NOT own a G35 yet prefer the 04 to the 05? Very little, if any. I haven't seen any on this thread.
How many people who DO own a 03/04 prefer the 04 to the 05? Almost all.

Let's evaluate this folks...
Infiniti was once in a deep pile of crap until they hired some new executives and the company is making a full come back. Thus, the new g35's, fx's, etc. The whole lineup is taking back some of the luxury car market shares.
These are the brains behind your 03, 04 and 05 g's. If the designers themselves doesn't think the 05's new look, better horses, real aluminum and whatever changes doesn't appeal the public, they wouldn't be coming out with these changes. Comon now...
If I own an 03 / 04 g I would be **** too...with all the new changes for 05. Whether you like it or not, the 05's will be here to stay. If you are happy with your 03 / 04, great then enjoy it. If you guys like the 05's great go buy one when it's out.
People...it'll all sink in when the 05's are out. Side by side with the changes and the whole story will unfold itself.
03 / 04's would be like "damn...niceeeeeeee...wish I waited...what can I do to make it look like an 05?"
05's...haha...I got the better and newer car =)
Sorry if I offended anyone...

the majority of the changes are cosmetic..so..if we really wanted too..we can swap out the changes..

The only one i'm enving is the new m45...

Re: 2005 G35 Sedan Production Pics
You haven't offended me, but some others may be annoyed. I for one just think that the '05 styling changes are so minor that I could care less. If there is a "major" restyling, then I might be upset, jealous, and remorseful about my decision. The only "change" I see that could be significant is the increase in HP from 260-280 HP in the 5AT Sedan and to 260-298 HP in the 6MT, and that has yet to be determined if it's a real power increase or just on paper; some have speculated that it was a marketing ploy by Infiniti (many say the ' 03-'04.5 Sedan's HP/Torque numbers were underrated on purpose in the first place).
Until the car mags do the tests and/or until people find out exactly what changed (in the ECU, exhaust, intake, etc.), we won't know. The only thing I would have liked in my car that the '05 has available is the Intelligent Key system; we have it in our 03 FX35 and love it...very cool feature! But, in the meantime, I just don't think the changes are enough to feel remorse about getting an '04.5 and not waiting for the '05...just my $0.02.
btw -- I still don't like the look of those new '05 wheels; I like my 5-star Infiniti sport wheels better, but again, that's a matter of personal opinion. ;-)

Re: 2005 G35 Sedan Production Pics
it's all cool man...
hey, is Intellgent key system kinda like having a keyless entry and remote start? and the key never needs to leave your pocket?

Re: 2005 G35 Sedan Production Pics
i stand by my opinion=
the 2003/2004 looks more agressive.
the 2005 looks more refined and smooth.
i prefer the more agressive look.
how many people who don't own the 2003/2004 like the old look better? thats flawed logic because if they don't own a 2003/2004 it means they don't like it enough to buy one, or the timing isn't right to buy one. those who REALLY LOVE the 2003/2004 look probably bought one already.
its not sour grapes. its an opinion. maybe the 2005 look will grow on people later on, but for now I think most can agree the new look is less agressive. its not sour grapes because the majority of 2003/2004 owners freely admit that they would love to have the performance upgrades in the 2005 (if its true).
