2005 G35 Sedan Production Pics
Re: 2005 G35 Sedan Production Pics
because i'm a designer - "you should submit your resume to infiniti"
i just honestly prefer the original version - "you mean the old version"
Also, Infiniti has yet to be on par with mercedes or bmw. G35 is one solid car but still not the same class yet. With the reliability of the European cars coming down, the Infiniti might catch up one day.

For all you who are buying a 05 and thinks its so mcuh better thatn the 04's, your going to be pissed when they make changes to it like the 03 & 03.5 and the 04's. They will be some things there going to change to make it better, all car companies do it, they fing some defectes so they imporve it and make more options standard.
Re: 2005 G35 Sedan Production Pics
You are already pissed. We won't be pissed for another 12 months. Plus, I highly DOUBT they will increase horses again next year. So we might not be pissed for another 24 months, but at minimum 12 months.

GeeG, you need to relax bro. people are entitled to there opinion and preferences and you just make yourself either look like an A$$ or a flamer for knocking on other peoples personal tastes. when BMW freshened up the 3 series with the new headlights i knew a lot of people who liked it and a lot of people who preferred the original design. good. people are allowed to disagree. like i said there are a small group of people that think the Aztek is a cool looking car. to each their own.
Re: 2005 G35 Sedan Production Pics
Quotes from GeeG =
"I too prefer my 03.5 Nismo Aero Kitted sedan - "let me guess, hmmmmmm you are a 03/04 owner, BINGO!"
However I do like the new interior - "tired of the fake alumiunum?"
I could jump for an 05 if I wanted to - "you have too much of an ego to do that even though you wanted to"
GeeG, whats your problem! Are you on a personal quest to put down all owners of 2003/2004 G35's and their cars? I mean most of the old Sedan owners are admitting that the new interior is nice and the horses are nice(as long as it does not compromise engine life)
We are simply saying that we prefer the old exterior styling. Whats wrong with that! These statements about exterior sheet metal is based on OPINION. PERIOD. Just because we like the old sheetmetal does not mean we are in denial or have sour grapes. Thats just stupid.
If its your OPINION that the 2005 is FAR BETTER than the 2003/2004, good for you. Congradulations! Just don't tell us what our OPINIONS should be about our cars.

GeeG
Do you even own a G? If not , then your opinions don't count!!!! As Jays_G, says you are making yourself look like an ***. I for one, prefer the lines of the 03/04 and probably would not buy/trade up for an 05. The new car reminds me more of and ES330 (very soft lines) Anyway, GET OFF THE FREAKING SITE!!!!!

Re: 2005 G35 Sedan Production Pics
I’ve heard so many mention that the lines are so different between the 04 and 05. I must admit that I currently do not own a G (yet) and from the pictures that I’ve seen, I never even knew there was a difference. I have since gone the www.infinitinews.com website and have looked at the 04 and 05 Sedan. Yep – the hood is different but unless you are a real car enthusiast or currently have G, I don’t think most people would see the difference. The change is very minor and I would bet the hoods are interchangeable between the 04 and 05. I would even bet that there are a lot of current G owners that will never notice the difference. For someone purchasing a new car, like myself the exterior really looks great on the 04 or 05 and the body change is not making my decision one way or another. Now that I’m somewhat familiar with the exterior changes, I do like the 05 styling but in my mind it is really a minor change. For my eyes, the interior changes are very significant and I really like what Infiniti has done on the new model. From what I’ve read and seen I really think that Infiniti has a done a great job on the new model.
Regardless of all the opinions, one thing is for certain and that is I’m sure that the sales of the 05 models will exceed the 04 models. Hopefully the 05 model will keep its resale value as well as the 03 and 04 have and I see no reason for it not to.
If you have a 03 or 04 and don’t agree with my comments, don’t worry about the front end of the car because with the horsepower increase you will only be looking at the bumper. (This last statement was meant as joke so please don’t flame me)

Re: 2005 G35 Sedan Production Pics
GeeG, you need to stop flaming. Nobody's going to respect your opinions if you present them like that, whether you're right or wrong.
I don't doubt that many people prefer the old exterior style, but I believe their preference is largely biased, due to the fact that they OWN ONE! They magnify the faults of the 05, as well as magnifying the things where the 04 may be better -- all to make themselves feel good again about their (soon to be outdated) car. It's psychology 101.
Like I mentioned before, nobody in the market for a G35 Sedan AND prefers the old exterior styling has spoken up in this thread. It's 3-0 based on my count. In a poll on FA, 61% of voters preferred the 05 sedan exterior, and we have yet to see pics of the 05 in a more common color (say silver or DG). 72% preferred the interior, and nobody's seen the graphite or gray interiors yet. My guess is that a large majority (if not all) of the people who voted the other way are 03/04 owners. Take a look at the 04 sedan pics from infiniti -- the carribean blue pics in particular. Compare them side by side with the 05 lakeshore slate pics (better yet, I'll post below). Let's compare apples & apples here. Blue to blue exterior, Willow to willow interior.
Everyone is entitled to their opinion. I'm not saying you're WRONG for preferring one style over the other. I'm saying two things:
1.) 03/04 owners' preference for their cars is biased.
2.) The majority of people prefer the 05 styling to the 03/04.

Let's compare...similar angles, similar colors, similar lighting, similar locations, hell...probably the same photographer and camera too.

Thanks dirrtybear
Does anyone really think that the exterior has changed a lot? For me, it is just not much of a difference. However, in my humble opinion the interior looks much ricther.

Re: 2005 G35 Sedan Production Pics
Hmmmmmm......is it an optical illusion or is the new console narrower? It sure looks narrower but it may be because of the angle of the pic or the change in console styling to less of a linear approach. Anybuddy wanna take a tape measure to the dealership and find out? : )
Re: 2005 G35 Sedan Production Pics
I think the interior picture of the '05 model is from a coupe. Look at the armrests and seats which both resemble the current coupe. The sedan's seats aren't bolstered that much and the sedan's door pulls sweep into the armrests.
Here's the sedan interior:
