No Muffler
I race without a muffler on my 2003 sedan and its quite quiet at idle and crusing. Not a lot of drone, when you pass 4500rpm it really gets loud. Sounds similar to a skyline and there is a loud vacuum noise which also adds some smirk on my face. When im back on the street though I keep it on. I noticed a torque curve difference, More power is shifted to the top end and I like that when Im out on the track.
In that youtube video sounds like some back fire when your reving it and the camera is outside the car. Is that normal? also now that you have straight pipe instead of muffler do you feel loss of acceleration?

i think the backfire thing is normal and i dont really care it sounds mean as hell when coming up to a red light, also i feel no loss in acceleration at all it just wants me to put my foot down especially in the tunnel
To those that are worried about the backfire, it's not really a backfire.
It's just a slightly rich mixture combined with decreasing pressure in the exhaust system. All cars have it... well, I guess the Leaf and Volt don't, but mufflers and resonators hid it well.
If you've ever heard an SRT-4, they make the same sound from the factory.

of what tunnel? i have no camera that can pick up the sound in its true form but rolling up to a stop i can try to get that but i would need my friend to follow me and capture it from the outside. ill try to do it today but i doubt my camera can get the tunnel correctly since last time i tried it on my phone and it was just a gargle of noise
