Pop-up Nav Issues

I keep my stock nav "on" so it pops up every time the car starts. Recently ive been noticing every once in a while the nav will go halfway up, then go down. This may repeat 2-3 times and then it finally goes all the way up. It doesnt happen every time i start the car, its pretty spotty--every few times.

Motor wearing out? Some other electrical issue? Wondering if anyone else has experienced this.

Pop-up Nav Issues

Had the same problem from time 2 time especially in colder weather. Looked around sides where gears r located for movement and noticed some gunky buildup blew it out with air compressor and has been all good since.

Just on a side note discovered buildup was from febreeze that I spray everytime i get pulled over.

No issues here yet and I let mine pop up all the time. Hoping it doesn't start now.

Guess I'll start leaving mine down when I don't need it.

I noticed that happens to mine when its very hot out. I help the nav up when its hot out and it works out perfectly fine. Thsi has been happening for 3 out of the 4 years I've owned my car. Just been too lazy to take it to the dealer.

This started happening on my 06 a few months ago. There is a TSB for it and I had it fixed under warranty. Involves changing out the faulty nav screen motor. Not sure if there's any sort of DIY fix for it other than replacing the motor itself.

Mine has also been happening only in hot weather, and when car sits outside for a long time. If my car is past standard warranty, would they still cover if its a TSB?

^nope, but all work done under warranty has a 1 year warranty. so technically, if you get it fixed rigth before it goes out of standard, you still get 1 year.
