clunking sound...
Just purchased a used 05 g35x, and while I'm impressed in some facets, I'm not very impressed in others. When I go over at least moderate sized bumps I hear a clunking sound coming from the passenger side front wheel. I have no idea what it is, can anyone shed some light on this? Also, how do you get the center console from creeking so much on acceleration and braking? Thanks guys.
Sounds like your compression rod is shot. The bushings get worn down/torn and Infiniti has had a TSB out for this issue for awhile. It can get pricey if you're out of warranty and some members here just buy replacement bushings and get it pressed in elsewhere.
Search for compression rods here (there are plenty of threads on this already) and look at infinitihelp.com for the TSB.

Also check your lower control arm. They have a similar bushing that will wear out as well.
As far as the console creaking you can take it apart and use felt on the contact points. It will help a lot.

^It's easy to take apart.
(although, I thought you were talking about the rattly armrest)
To take the entire console apart, start by taking the shift **** off.
Slide down the little "aluminum" colored plastic trim ring on the bottom, and pull the c shaped retaining clip (don't lose this)
Once you get the **** off, the front part of the console (with the shifter) just pulls straight up on the back and then slides toward the back of the car to come out.
You may have to put the car in neutral.
Once you've got that out, the rest starts to get obvious.
