Do you guys think I could pull of white TE37's or CE28's assuming I slam my car?

^The display on the 03/04's may look like a LED segmented display, but it's actually a VFD (Vacuum Fluorescent Display)

The reason it's amber is because of a very dark filter. Once that filter is removed, the display emits a strong bluish white light, that looks much like this:

The trick is to then make a new filter for it using a piece of plexi/lexan/acrylic/etc... and then smoke it and color it.

For mine, I used VHT NiteShades, a headlight restore kit (vht tends to have a satin finish, which I did not want) and some translucent red vinyl film from eBay (I think it was marketed for 'taillight repair' )

I plan on redoing mine though. It looks fantastic at night, but I went a little heavy on the VHT, so it's hard to see on a bright sunny day.

I'll probably use window tint instead of VHT this time. Gives a more even finish, and I can pick the opacity I want.
