So was at Stealership today for oil change and airbag recall. They said drive train belts cracking. Is this common? I have about 40,000 miles. $200 plus tax not bad........

Hey guys, I have an 03 sedan and mine came with the "doggy door" on the trunk. I was just wondering if the doggy door came in all 03 models or what makes it so rare?

 

^just means your car is a 2002.5 edition only a few have it which is why u dont see it often.. not exactly 'rare' but im no fan of it.

 

 

Ha, I actually bought everything to do it except for the hoses. I've been too lazy to go to the autoparts store so it's been sitting in my garage for a month.

 

Congratulations on owning a 2003.0 sedan, manufactured in 2002. Infiniti removed the doggy door in favour of the smooth (boring) rear for 2003.5, so only the ORIGINAL G sedans have them. I rock mine proudly!

 

Nobody calls it a 2002.5

They're referred to as a 2003.0 (as opposed to the later "2003.5" year model, still sold as a 2003 year model, but with several revisions)
Although, the build date on a 03.0 can stretch back as far as January 2002! (Mine is 02/02)

I think the switch to 03.5 was either in 05/02 or 08/02

Im starting to think the 05-06 JDM DD kit will fit the 03-04. For a little facelift. There was a coupe guy who upgraded his interior to a new year and a lot of it was plug and play. I bet just the dash is different.

 

^If it does, you would likely have to swap the entire console.

 

Yes lol thats my point. Should I try it? My friend is looking for a 03-04 kit so its as good as sold.
