you better hope he doesn't find this thread...

If you have to ask if you're car is faster - the answer is no.

Sorry to seem insensitive... but the fact is - well, I am.

Race him if you think you can beat him... ignore him if you know you cant... If you don't know the answer - there's a chance you can and to find out, you need to race - not ask strangers.

Quote: Lol well a stock one vs a stock g
You can crunch numbers all day but if hes a pro driver and this is your first race, he's gunna win... pretty close, the G has 1 more hp, and is about 500 estimated pounds less... granted these are teh same cars. and you say stock but if your cars loaded w/ **** in it or u got some woofers in the trunk, thats all weight. it can win or lose you the race in some cases. GL/HF, dont get anyone killed... seriously...

It's just a friendly race. If you lose... Well you lose. You win then you win. Your not gonna win everytime. If you wanna find out if your gonna win well in my eyes it's all about the driver mod!

Curious, are the Megan v2 resonated Test pipes different from the Megan racing resonated test pipes?

Also what other lip out there besides the n1 or wald is there for the 03-04 sedans.
Or what can be slightly customized?

Quote: what did most people use to black out their window trim? I just bought the JDM window visors and have heard of some people using electrical tape, but the trim around the rear window is to big. So what have people been using? vinal?
I have visors and did black out my trim. I actually use the 3M vinyl for mine. But i installed the visors first before i put the vinyl because i was afraid when im driving the vinyl might come off and there goes my visors. I just cut pieces that are close to the trim and tuck them underneath the seals. so far its holding up, just need to redo one piece that i missed up on.

Quote: I bought my pumpkin from a junkyard in CA and they shipped it for free (94lbs). Not sure about shipping to canada, I paid 250 for it, installed it myself, great mod
I got mine from a JY in Cali as well but I had to pay for shipping $300 shipped for the 3.54 pumpkin. well worth it.

Quote: 94 lbs? i don't think a pumpkin weighs that much
I think the pumpkin in on the heavy side of 70lbs. Mine came wrapped in a box (5lbs packing) and IRC it was just over 80lbs shipping weight.

Help ID this rattle
Lately I've noticed a rattle coming from the front end at around 800-900 rpm. It happens only in drive, not in park or neutral. The car is a 2004 G35x. I took a phone video today and was hoping someone might have some clues as to what it is and how to fix it. There is a pretty clear transition at 0:32 where I let off the accelerator.

I'm going to get an '05 g35x in the next 2 weeks. One of the cars that I'm looking at has 18" wheels. I really like the 18" wheels, but I don't want to lose the handling in the snow. Do you guys think 18" wheels will handle well in the snow or defeat the purpose of getting the x? Thanks!

I ran 18's on my RWD last winter and was pleased. . The car will be comparable with 17's or 18's in the snow, given the same tire type.

Can't answer the first question, not much of a megan fan but I'd assume one is the first gen, one is the second.

There's those two lips and the stillen that I can think of.... but for the price that aftermarket bumpers have gotten to you might as well just go that route.

I have underlined the problem here, you're comparing a brand new TLS with the new SH-AWF to a 5/6 year old car.

BTW, had no idea the new TL is such a heavy pig. Pushin' big body status just shy of 4k

Just a quick question...

When I do up my front two windows ('03 4dr) I notice the drivers side window really slams up and down, when I go up especially it makes a pretty decent "thump" sound. It doesn't do it all the time, basically only once or twice and only when I do the AUTO up or down.

Just wondering if this is normal, or if something could be wrong? (ie. broken track, etc?!)
