Guy at work has an SRT-8 Challenger. I pulled next to him one day leaving work and it wasn't even a race. I think i hung with him off the line due to AWD but once he got to maybe 10-15MPH he just left me like i was sitting there.

My Mustang...slightly different outcome. We still debate just who won that race

I have a problem guys. While driving today my VDC, SES and Slip light came on. After this my RPMs went to zero and the car came to a stop ( the engine pretty much shut down; however, i have electrical power as the radio still works).

I tried restarting, and after holding the key for about 5 seconds it finally started. I got home, parked the car and after an hour it started fine. Any suggestions, of what the problem might be?

Haha. Same thing happened to me in my Evo.

Happened once then went away. Hasn't happened since. The only difference was my car backfired (loud bang) before it died. Then everything just shut down.

The only thing that I could pinpoint was my switch in gasoline. The car was always filled on 76. But that day, I switched to Shell. After that happened, I went back to 76, and hasn't happened since.

That's the only conclusion I had. Everybody I asked was clueless.

Now I never ever go to Shell. That gasoline sucks.

My front brake pads were very worn and my brake fluid was at the minimun mark. ( i replaced the pads today) Could this have caused the limp mode? I'm thinking about taking the car to the stealership for a checkup.

iirc, when my lights came on and went internet searching for the solution, a lot of places said check your brake fluid.

Tokicos - lots of members are using them.

The blue HP is close to stock, the D-specs are the good and expensive ones.

Where's the best place to buy a headlight ballast? Infiniti wants $500 ($250 with my special pricing but still), Rock Auto doesn't seem to carry them, and the lighting section in the Marketplace is pretty dead.

If anyone has an extra laying around or can point me in a cheaper direction I'd appreciate it. Heading over to ebay to try my luck there.

So i tired the emblem-less grill, it worked out great, and i painted it using the plastidip. Unfortunately the bondo cracked for some reason and i want to fix it and paint it using normal spray paint, but now my problem is trying to get the plastidip off, i was able to peel off most of it but in between each grill in the tight spots, its really hard to get the plasti dip off. I have tried everything from using my compressor with the blower, didnt work. I tried using heat, didnt work. Any advice?
