Random Little Question Thread
^ Well, you just bumped quite a bit of old FS threads tonight. I deleted those posts and closed the threads.
When you reach 100 posts, go PM an admin and ask them to check your account; I think the admins can unlock it manually but the system sometimes may let you do create a FS thread automatically.
am getting a rattling noise that seems to come from the muffler or muffler area more specifically the driver side on my 04 coupe when i accelerate on 1st gear and seems to go away and return when pressing the gas...anybody have any idea what this might be and what should i look for ?
The flex pipe is made of many small metal wires, and it seems that over time, the mini hair like metal fibers break and just spike up, and rattle on the underside of the car
Pardon my lack of technical terms lol.... Anyhow, that's what I found. I'm gonna try a way to "tape" down the flex pipe, or isolate it from the other metal parts around it.
Noticed my radiator fan was coming on and staying on when my ac wasn't on. The temp stayed normal though on a few short trips around town. Got on the highway this morning and when I got to work I hear the fan going again and temp gauge is creeping over midway.
It's too dark right now to check my fluid level but I'll check it when the sun comes out. Anything else I should check besides that and maybe my thermostat?

so i finally found out the couse of my 60+ mph car vibration. It was the front spacers i had on -__- the guy said the spacers are meant for aftermarket wheels, not for oem wheels. My car drives smooth now but now i'm hella sunk, especially since i already put the oem 17"s on. Do all spacers shake? i don't wanna sacrifice comfort for looks
Sears would test your charging system and replace your battery for free if you warrantied your battery. Of course you have to drive/tow it there
everyone has warranties on batteries nowadays. I got mine through Firestone back when i had my Z and my batteries still under warranty, replaced twice. and my Civic's battery is under autozone's warranty.
Was overheating on the ride to work this morn because of my thermostat. Took it in to the stealership and they gave me a 2009 Navy Blue G37 Sedan. Rides smoothly but the throttle response is kinda slow. Also, I had all the windows down and the moonroof back but no one was even checking me out! My 05 G has ppl breaking their necks for a peek! What's up with that?!
Real question:
When driving over speed bumps I am hearing a knock from the front end, the anyone know what I should be looking for to fix the knocking?
Let me explain more, its not getting on the speed bump its the descent.
Hit the front of the the speed bump, cars momentum gets sent up, then at the end of the bump the cars momentum comes back down.
When the car is coming back down is when I hear the knock.
So something might be loose in the engine bay, cant find anything. I need to put some padding on the hood stand maybe its making the noise.
More investigation is needed I guess need to single out which side its coming from.
