Random Little Question Thread
I guess this was the only down side of buying the car. Only had it 3 weeks but if it could pass inspection I doubt they would replace them under the 60 day 3000 mile warranty. I also notice vibration in the wheel when braking at higher speeds so I'm sure I'll need rotors too. Didn't notice this until a few days ago.
I have an AUTOXRAY that has been amazing for me, the prices are very reasonable as well.
Yeah you're probably right, I always replace rotors with pads. It's not worth the headache IMO to leave rotors on and just replace pads, or vice-versa. These are components that literally embed grooves/tapers into one another. If one is worn different from the other you'll just end up screwing stuff up or end up with sqeaky/squealing brakes that are going to fail prematurely.
Just so you know.
Are all blank rotors the same? I saw ecb rotors that were a lot more than OEM rotors. Figures the drilled n slotted ones won't last. Got excited for a few minutes..lol
Meh, I'm going to run Drills/slots, but I'm fully aware that the pads will probably wear pretty darned quickly. It's just a question of whether you're prepared to lose pad life for appearance.

For those discussing drilled/slotted rotors, not all are created equal. Some can and will warp, a friend of mine had it happen to him.
The ones I'm running were Centric brand blanks that were drilled and slotted, and they've held up very well

I know price kinda has me wondering to. I dont want it to be one of those you pay what you get for deals. From the description the black holds up pretty good maybe over time the black fades or comes off where the pads scrape. From the feedback alot of different car models buy them many g35 and 350z owners.
No, I was in a hurry and just browsing from the phone. But looking at them now, they don't mention what blank they use, so IDK.
A warranty is nice, but if they don't pay return shipping, it's not worth a whole lot... rotors are freaking heavy and $$$ to ship

I have to give them a call to see if they pay return shipping if not why even offer warranty. i'm not really a brake guy what do you mean by blank they use??
