It's fairly accepted in mechanic's circles that the fuel system in a bottle stuff doesn't do anything of note.

If you want it cleaned you need to have a shop do it properly with a injector/fuel system flushing machine

That said, it won't hurt either. Just might be a waste of time and money also.,

So I did a tune up yesterday, which turned into only getting new spark plugs and re-oiling the k&n filter. Something that came up was the pcv valve.. Is that something we typically replace during a tune up or should I just let it be for now?

Look here Fuel system cleaners with PEA might not be snakeoil. You can pick Redline Si-1 at pepboys for 10 bucks. Redline Si-1 has one of the most PEA contents of any Fuel System cleaner.

Do stock sedans come with less finger gap in the rear? Running coupe 18s, 225/45 in the front and 245/45 in the rear, on stock suspension I have 4 in the front 3 in the back, have revised Z suspension to install, would it even out after the suspension install?

I have a quick gas cap question. My check engine light is on and has been on for what I've been told is it needs a new gas cap. The previous owner lost the OEM gas cap and replaced it with a generic Vatozone piece. I was told by him and Vatozone that the CEL is a culprit of this gas cap and to get an OEM cap from Infiniti. Would something like the following ebay special work:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/02-08-Nissan...f432b4&vxp=mtr

It says OEM, and it's $8 vs $35 at the dealer. If not, I don't mind spending $35, I'm just checking first.

^ I dont know if anyone has experience with that but for 9 bucks shipped Id get it and try it out.

More importantly I would get the code read before you spend any money, go to advance auto or autozone they can read the code for free for you.

Gas caps rarely go bad. Its often a cover up for a real problem. Same thing with "oh it just a 02 sensor". If you have a evap code I would have it smoked tested before throwing money at it but it is just 8 bucks. There is a TSB for the filler hoses to be replaced. If you had a cracked line it could throw the same code if you had a "bad" cap. The way the computer test this is it tests the pressure in the tank and if it a certain pressure drop over a certain amount of time it will throw that code.

Well my current gas cap is a generic autozone one, it clicks once vs three. The previous owner lost the old gas cap and replaced it with this one and told me that was the cause of the CEL. I took it to advance auto and had them read the code before taking his word on it. And it was the code for an EVAP leak whatever that code is. 493 or something.

I doubt the gas cap was bad. It's a common problem on our cars for it to throw that code. Usually means the cap wasn't put on all the way tight. You just have to take the cap off and put it back on and clear the code. It won't come back. Had this happen on my car once and the gf's 350z.

Exactly, the gas cap doesn't seal right. I don't have the OEM cap, that was lost. I have a different one that only sort of fits.

Good news everyone, lol had to say it. I actually been using Redline stuff for the past 3 tanks, and I just took a plugs out to check for oil when I did my Trans cooler install and the same cylinder was completely black and could not see the top of the piston, but now I can see the top of the pistion the sides still have carbon on it but the center of the piston is clearing up. This is only 900 miles or so, 8oz of product per tank. I been using BP gas so their so called cleaning agent does crap lol. Though I through a miss fire for cyl1 so thats why I just pulled the plug, but now its working fine meh..
