I also looked at Konig afterburners, offset is more sedan friendly.

 

Some company needs to make just those calipers for stock brakes. I know I'm not the only one who would buy them. Those in any rim would look great. Suprised Infiniti doesn't sell them on there cars.

 

^Exceptionally large calipers without changing the diameter of the rotor does little if any good.
The 05/06 brakes being an upgrade is only partially due to them being dual-piston as opposed to single piston... it's also an upgrade because the rotors are close to an inch larger in diameter.

Another example would be Miata brakes. There are some years that came with 1" larger rotors, the calipers are the same, just spaced out more to make room for the larger rotor.
Even with the same calipers, the larger brakes are a huge upgrade (that's also a bolt-on) for cars with the older setup.

In case you are serious, these brakes are the SPORT package brakes (something like that) for the G37, and they're the same on the 370Z though on the Z they're black with NISSAN written on them.

 

I cant imagine it would even look as good if it was scaled down to fit the stock rotor. The rotor adds to the look, having it fill up the inside of the wheel looks great.

hi everybody, I'm new to this forum and need some help for my G. i got a 2001 skyline V35 sedan 2WD, which is same as infinity G35(which is stock car ,nth has been changed). i wanna increase the ride height like 1 or 2 inches just the front. any suggestion or tips. thank you

stock height is already an eye-sore. why raise it more..or at all?

 

actually, i'm from Myanmar and road here is like a moon face. every time i went over speed bump , mud guard scrape off and can't ride with 4 ppl include the driver. the car will sit so low that i was one time stuck at a rail road crossing. have to lift from back and the train was coming rite at me.

The G35x is the AWD model, that's what you want. People throw them away like crazy here because AWD ride height is riidculous and no one wants them, people can't give them away.

 

Out of nowhere I have so much brake squeaking. Probably time for new pads. I'm thinking of either getting new rotors or getting the current ones resurfaced. Only reason why, on the way to Vegas, high temps, not too much braking, but at one downhill area I was applying the brakes, and not too hard, and the entire car was wobbling and shaking. No issues since and I was doing about 80 mph, still do that, but flatter roads.

Anyway, thinking about Hawk Pads. Curious on suggestions for rotors, thinking perhaps drilled? Also thinking about maybe upgrading to SS lines, not quite sure yet. Say for a budget of 300-400, what would be some good options?

 

IMHO go for slotted before drilled. The slots actually help dispense the gasses the more aggressive brake pads produce to help suck the brake pad in towards the rotor for better braking while drilled actually lessens contact surface which means less braking for better cooling for those rare times where you'll actually need it.

SS lines are great as they stiffen the feel of the brake pedal and probably adds a slight response to the braking.

And although they aren't horrible, I am not a fan of Hawk Brake Pads. I forget why I didn't like them, but I prefer using Project Mu brake pads much more these days.

 

Oops, I was thinking slotted, but wrote drilled. Still an early morning.

As for the rotors, any suggestions? And the Hawks are closer to OEM price, Mu's are nearly double...any other suggestions on those?
