On the topic of speakers, any way for me to just replace all Bose speakers including sub with new units? What do I have to look for to ensure plug and play? Don't want a new headunit.

Very hard & expensive to get 2ohm speakers that are an upgrade.

You can amplify the stock speakers with an aftermarket amp and it will sound much better and go louder. Just need to find the trigger wire for turning the rear amp on and tap into it

You can do the same for the sub but it's more involved because the sub actually runs off the back speaker signal
IIRC. Far from an expert on this

Question for you guys:

I recently got a 2005 g35x and I just noticed that everytime turn the wheel to the left there's this slight grinding sound coming from the front driver side. Not vibrating though. Well I guess it's vibrating a bit but not that much.

I owned a 2004 G sedan as well before and I replaced the wheel bearing which is a common problem with our cars. The problem I think now is, when I had the 2004 before I remember it was vibrating hard when I try to turn or even just going straight.

So I'm not 100% sure now if I have the same problem with my 2005 now as its not vibrating bad. Or maybe it's just a symptom now and it's "not that bad" yet that's why?

So the question/s is guess is, do you guys think it's just my wheel bearing just starting to go bad? Or should I look into something else before pulling the plus and ordering my wheel bearing online?

Inspect it. Check the front end. If you don't know how pay a shop 40-60 to do a front end check. Some places do it free if they think they will get the repair work out of you.

Rear Tire just popped..

About 6k miles ago, I changed my rear tires. Unfortunately, last night, one of them popped. Almost brand new.. Right now the donut is on. Do I just need 1 new tire? Or will that mess things up?

My newly purchased 04' G35 sedan

Hey I just bought a G35 and I first just wanna say I had no idea what I was missing out on for all this time, just WOW. As for my question, I'm wondering how to set my home address on my NAV. The previous owners address is saved and it doesn't give me an option to change it, when I press home it immediately gives me directions to his home. When I click on "Help" it says I can set my address when I click on home, but I think that only happens if there isn't already an address set for home.

Also the steering seems very heavy, just an FYI I'm not weak I go to the gym almost everyday. It's just riduclous how I have to use 2 hands to turn at parking lot speeds and doing a three point turn is even more of a pain because I cant "roll" the steering wheel with one hand and I look like a noob driver using 2 hands in this amazing car lol.

I've read that it's supposed to be heavy because it's sporty, but that doesn't make sense to me. Sporty = fast and when my three point turns take forever to do or I have to drive even slower at parking lot speeds just because my turning reaction is slower because of the heavy steering, then that is not sporty to me.

I've also read that there might be air in my power steering lines, so my next question is how to bleed them out properly myself. Could I just take the power steering cap off and with the engine running and the wheels on the ground and the car in park turn the steering wheel left and right lock to lock numberous times?

Those are all the questions I can think of for now, Thanks in advance for any help!

Welcome to the forum. This thread will help you with the Nav question: https://g35driver.com/forums/audio-v...t=set+home+nav

On the power steering, you should be able to one hand the wheel so you definitely have an issue with the power steering system. You listed a great way to "bleed" the system, that should work well. It might also be a good time to change the fluid since you'll have the system open.

Any more inputs?

Also, has anyone tried these?

It's a LOT cheaper than these:

Have you owned any g35's before? How about have you owned any RWD before? When I first got my first g35, I really though there was something wrong with the steering as it felt so "heavy" but when I got my second one, it's the same thing. lol then I owned a 350z and it has the se feeling. So I just came to the conclusion that its normal for our cars and maybe because its a RWD. Now that I own a g35x it's slight lighter than the RWD ones. Hopefully this helps a bit.

Well I haven't necessarily owned a RWD before but I have driven several which were GMC Envoy, Jeep Liberty and Cadillac CTS. I have driven them all for about a month or more which should be enough time to get a good feel for the car and they all had light smooth steering. I don't mind the heaviness I know I'll get used to it but it really is a hassle that I wish I could fix. Other than that, such an incredibly built car.

P.S. This website/forum really sealed the deal when it came to deciding whether or not to buy a G35, I love the car and the community here makes it that much better!!

As Blue Dream said, Change the fluid, use good ATF to replace it, bleed the system, and see what that does for you.
If it's still very heavy try finding a local member to check it, or your local infiniti, to find out if it's just you being too used to huge vacuum assisted steering, or if there is potentially something wrong with the pump or vacuum assist system.
