Am I the only one who likes the original gear selector setup? People with manuals would love to have something similar:

Don't. If you're gonna deaden your vehicle, use a good product at least. Dynamat doesn't even carry the proper products to deaden your vehicle properly.

Yes, OEM for the low beams and aftermarket for the fogs (I don't have use of high beams). The blue were actually low beams and yellow fog lights. That's how it's supposed to be since you can see better through fog with lower Kelvin on the color of temperature scale.

And yes, the H4 bulb is what you would need. But this actually brings me to another question, which I'll ask in my next post.

As far as the shift boot, I personally don't think they look all that great on any of the cars I've seen on this forum. I bought one and it really looks out of place. Only way it would match is if the entire vehicle has suede and same color stitching. Other than that, I think the OEM boot suits the car well.

Referring to my post above, just to verify, our headlights (say 05-06 in my case), the low beam is the only one that is HID, correct? The high beam/fog lights are just a regular output?

Also to clarify (since I have an eBay seller on my *** about a headlight I made an offer on, which he accepted after the auction ended and after he answered my question so I might have to file a claim for non-payment) the 05-06 sedans have the darker and thinner ballast like so (at least what I have):

And it is to my knowledge that the 03-04's have the lighter and thicker ballast, like so:

Were there any 05-06 sedans that had the bottom style ballast? Because the guy is saying the headlight is from an 05 sedan, however, I don't see an opening at the bottom of the headlight for the type of ballast I have. The bottom of the headlight is completely closed off.

Yes. I don't think any car in the world has dedicated hid high beams. Closest is bixenon. Reason being with a dedicated bulb, there is warm up time, so you wont be able to flash anyone, and high beams go off and on more often, accelerating wear

Regarding the ballast, no idea. Show a pic of the headlight itself. I have an 03 sedan and my ballast looks like the thicker Gray one

That is an 03/04, you can tell by the circular bezel / trim near the reflectors. The 05/06 has a more luxurious / finished look. the seller is in the wrong

oh so your foglight is built in with your headlight.
I've only seen that on the pre-94 Acura integras. with the long head light and fog in the middle.
What I am piecing from all this is that, with in my head light, there is a low/high beam and foglight?
I want the yellow to be the fog light, the blue hid for low beam, and the oem high beam. this is possible correct?
Do you mind posting a picture of what it looks like at night and from a straight foward angle please?
By oem shift boot you mean leather right?
I have seen a few cars with purple crown royal boots. I think the black one would look better though IMO.

Gotcha. I see it now. Thanks again for the help. I hope ebay isn't stupid and doesn't side with him should he file a claim.

Yes, that's how it is for all our G's.

I can see about taking one tonight. Although I don't have the 8k's on anymore.

And yeah, the leather OEM boot is what I was referring to. But honestly, it's just my opinion. You should mod your car the way you like.

Noticed you edited your post. You can't really do what you're wanted. Your low beam functions on it's own. Your high beam and low beam are the same bulb. However, when you get an HID kit as DVG pointed out you don't want your high beam to be an HID because it will burn out the bulb very quick, thus you lose high beam capabilities by going with a bulb designed just for the fog light (it doesn't have a dual filament like the OEM bulb does). You can buy a dual filament yellow bulb (I think) but your high beams will also be yellow. You can change the bulb to blue for the high beams, but your fog flights will be blue as well and that defeats the purpose of a fog light.
