will an 04 sedan MT center console fit my AT? my shift boot doesn't look to clean, I'd figure the console with the boot built in would look cleaner

 

no idea... i tried looking for that answer but no luck... all i know us that its been done but no one knows how... i think i have an idea how but i dont know if it would work...

Given that the center consoles are different shapes, I think it would be hard to fit. I dont think they were ever the same shape, the MT is rounded and the AT is straight at the end

 

I took the AT shifter plate off my car last night and just put a boot.
here's how it looks

then I hot glued the bottom and some glue got I'm the visible part of the boot and on the plastic and now it doesn't look as clean as it does in the pic.
that's why I ask if the MT would fit. cuz the boots on MT consoles are up against the console and look very good.

 

and as for those eBay hid kits.
I am gonna order them and tell the seller what at I have. they should know. haha

 

Too many gaps, doesn't look clean IMO. As for the 12k bulbs, they will turn out purple. If lack of visibility and the purple look is what you're going for, then it'll suit. However the brightest I think anyone should go is 8k. That's got plenty of a blue hue in it to look blue and still provide decent visibility. I personally like 6k since it's bright, visible and a hint of blue in it. Picture the super bright white LED bulbs available on the forums, looks like that. For bulbs that you need you can also go to sylvania.com and check out what bulbs your entire vehicle uses.

 

+1, except I think the highest anyone should go is 6K. Personal preference is 5K and 3K.

If you put a ring around the shift boot, kind of like how MT models have one around their boot, it might look better...but as is, I'd rather go back to the shifter plate

yea. it does have an ugly gap between the boot and the diameter of the console.
that's why I was wondering if I could swap the mT console to this.
I can't find pics of the MT console for an 04 online so I could visually see if they're the same.

The reason why i am getting Hids is becuase i like the blue beam. so if i get some white ones, itll defeat te purpose of what i want.
the only reason I said 12k was because on the eBay link, the 12k looks blue, not purple

but I will be going with the 8k blue.
along with that I will be ordering a trunk lip and possibly a front bumper lip.
I'm not sure which one though.....

 

good idea. I'm going to see if they sell infiniti shift boots with the whole ring around. if not. back to the ugly shifter plate.

There's a whack of guys that have had boots either made or purchased that are a direct swap IIRC or fairly easy to install. hit up SDgenius or candlestickpark they both have them as I recall.
