Does anyone know what im talking about? Any help would be greatly appreciated. I did a few searches both here and on google but i couldnt find anything.

Thanks

Defiantly would not consider that an upgrade. More like a slightly backwards lateral change.

Its still a single unit, it doesn't matter if there's multiple sections built into it. Its not like those sections come apart and can be replaced individually. Saying it has 4 cats makes it sound like Nissan installed 4 separate catalytic converters, which is not the case.

It still counts as a single cat, it doesn't matter if there is multiple pieces. There is only 2 catalytic converters on the car.

Just because the stock muffler has 2 chambers in it doesn't mean you have 2 mufflers.

Man, I am just the worst kind of person. Revived a 3 year old thread for a single question and then remembered that this thread existed for that exact purpose.

Here's my post/question:

Is the emblem as easy to take off as I think? I haven't tried taking out any of the fabric lining my trunk, but I assume the rear emblems bolts will be right there once I do. Let me know if I'm incorrect.
For the record, I am not planning on doing the Skyline badge thing. I want to use either a Datsun emblem, rat and wrenches emblem, or have one of my friends fabricate one of our own. I'm currently leaning towards the latter.

What you talkin bout willis?

Rear emblem is 3M taped on, front emblem is held in with clips. (Unless you have a 03-06 sedan)

Yes - except for the mount fuji emblem which has rivets (holes). The other "INFINITI" and "G35" lettering is attached by double sided tape and can be easily removed. The most common way is to heat them with a heat gun and remove with dental floss. Then use goo gone or similar to remove the extra tape. Finish with a good wash, polish and wax.
I think I've heard other people say they took their Mt. Fuji emblem off and it left holes, too. At least the sedans.

Oh, and I said bolts earlier. I now see that it says rivets so I bet it's just plastic rivets through the fabric? Again. I could still be wrong.

What do you drive? Is it an 03-06 sedan? If so, then yes there are 2 plastic rivets that have to be grinded off after removing the trunk liner. You can cover the holes easily with any adhesive emblem.

Yes, that would be why I'm posting this in the 03-06 Sedan page . I have an 05 G35x (if that makes a difference).

And the problem is that some of the emblems I'm finding don't have flat backs and would be difficult to use adhesive with (see http://www.ebay.com/itm/171017060356...84.m1423.l2649). Although, the more I think about it, the more I think the Ratsun emblem looks dumb. I could just use an adhesive emblem to cover the holes, but I would need to make sure it completely covers the holes. So, are the holes at the very edge of the emblem (4.25" apart) or somewhere in between?

It would probably be easy for me to measure the distance between the two rivets, but I just don't want to take of the trunk lining until I have everything ready to go on my car.
