yea. I know they don't fit on one another. I was wondering if the emblems did.

and I see the coupe 350gt Nissan emblems on eBay so Maybe I can find a sedan one online.
some guy (via Instagram) told me he ordered the 350gt Nissan emblem and it got his stock grill. I'll have to have him clarify that.

The Nissan emblem will fit but there are big gaps on the side, check out these threads

Remember, the guys saying it fits are coupe guys. There are a couple on ebay right now that say 03-06, I'm pretty sure they'll fit your car but you better email the seller to confirm.

wow. the fitment on the first one is horrible!
it'll fit but won't look Nice because the difference in shape of emblems.
I'll have to wait till I find a skyline grill for 04 sedan. thanks
unless I get the grill with mesh, then a Nissan emblem can easily be placed on that an it would look much better.
I found one but I don't think it'll fit

Actually, should I really use silicone? I feel like it may be better to use tape or something, since it is going to be covered by the emblem. Electrical tape, scotch tape, what is the best thing to use?

remember that the tape adhesive will melt in the sun and when you take it off you'll have to clean the residue off. but that does sounds easier than trying to remove the silicone if tou ever want to remove it.
you're putting an emblem with out centering pins?

Yeah, so I'm hoping that there is a specific tape that would be best, but that is definitely a concern. Yes, I broke the tabs by accident so I'm moving the emblem down a bit so that it looks more centred on the trunk

oh okay. well if the emblem will still cover the holes, just tape the holes over, and if you ever remove the emblem, then just use the goo gone stuff that is used to remove "Infiniti" letter adhesive. to clean up the tape adhesive.

I think silicone is the best idea. The only tape that id trust to seal is either too aggressive or is the 3m double sided tape anyways.

it'll be just like the adhesive with the letters. it'll probably be hard. but it'll come off. good luck.
what're you using to re attach it? some guy is selling me a Nissan skyline emblem for 10$. but idk what to use to attach it. as he already used the stock adhesive. new ones with adhesive are 17$. what should I do?

You really think that tape will keep out moisture by itself? There will only be about 2-3 mm between the hole and bare trunk (The top of the emblem is really thin)

Maybe I will do silicone, but I feel like the silicone will just go straight through the hole and Ill fill up my trunk with it haha, The hole is like 4-5 mm in diameter

3M exterior mounting tape

When you say nissan skyline emblem, do you mean the nissan emblem or the skyline emblem? If you are getting the skyline emblem I would say just get it used. Lining all the letters up properly would be a bitch.

I mean the Nissan emblem.

and a way to keep moisture out would be clear silicone then. an so it won't get in your trunk, remove the inside liner thing off your trunk, over the hole with tape from the inside, then put silicone in the hole, then just wipe off and excess silicone so it's flush with the trunk. this way the silicone doesn't escape through the hole to your trunk and once the silicone dries, it is a flush finish and you can remove the tape from the inside.
