Half of mine went out like a month ago, I say half because only the upper portion got darker, but is still readable so I guess there is a 2nd LED for the lower portion (trip) that illuminates part of the upper too.
Initially it was an off and on thing and easy to spot, but now I think its still off for good, its harder to tell because I think i've gotten used to it, perhaps its all again though would have to look closely.

The one that bothered me and still has me checking at times is only once I saw my Cruise Control "Set" light go out as if I hit cancel or something, but i was certainly still engaged and acting normal, just no light. If that one actually goes out for good it will be a big pain to live without. Perhaps the Uprev blinks for mapping changes shorten its life?

Anyone run HIDs in their fog light? Any glare issues?

The point of fogs is to emit yellow light that cuts through low light situations where your stock main bulbs fail...

If you use an HID bulb it might look nice but will negatively effect visibility.

Yeah that I understand, right now I'm using halogen 2500k fogs. I'm not sure how much more effective halogen fogs are over HID fogs, as in low light situations I can hardly see the light emitted from my fog lights anyway.

Since the point of having yellow bulbs is less glare making it easier to see, you will be fine as long as you keep it under 4300k. I had 3000k hids in my fogs and they were fine. Just make sure you have a good kit because the cheap kits didn't work so good for me.

6K is too bright for proper fogs. You want a yellow hue because yellow light does not refract like white, blue, or purple, and is easier to see. So not only does it light small bumps and such better without as much glare, it is also easier on your eyes, making it easier to drive long distances.

Orange and red are the only colors that give of less glare but since they give off shorter waves, they are harder to see.

Another thing to remember with hids is that the hotter the bulb, the lower the lumens. The energy in anything higher than 4300k is being used to burn the hotter color instead of illuminating the road.

3000s are nice in fog. I wish mine were working right!

I love the g fogs they're very fuctional. I use it as my low beams at night in the city. Bc of the position they work jus like regular low beams imo

Yeah I wish our sedans could turn on the fog only without turning on the low beams. How hard of a collision is needed to activate the slip and vdc lights on the dash? I hit something last night and the two lights popped up.
