Random Little Question Thread
Technically there's no load on the rings and they're basically just for aligning the wheel when mounting so.... either would work. If you plan on tracking the vehicle or are notorious for being VERY hard on the brakes then I wouldn't even consider plastic due to the heat they would experience (might melt). Personally I would go aluminum because it seems a little chinsy to use plastic ones, actually let me rephrase that, personally I have hubcentric spacers so I don't need to use rings so...
Ok cool. Got some cheap wheels for my old eclipse and being as to how the lug pattern was the same figured id keep wheels just need rings cause the center of rim is 73.1mm and from what i read g35x is 66.1 so gotta do something lol
I prefer and only use the plastic ones theyve never failed me for daily. I like them bc they won't corrode and get stuck up in the hub and I like the idea of the plastic absorbing any vibrations if there is any.
Well the car is my daily/ only car lol although i love punching it from time to time or when smaller cars think their car is the god of the roads. I live in delaware though so nothing fancy out here lmao. I try not to brake hard but sometimes gotta do what ya gotta do

My passenger recline switch is acting up. I'm looking to replace it, but the oem part is only sold with the lower seat assembly for $2k+.
Anyone know if the switch from a 350z will work?
Part # I have found is 87016-cd011. Seems to have both buttons I need and looks similar.
Thanks,
Ron

What exact year/chassis/package is your vehicle (ex. '06 coupe premium) it's also possible to clean the switch which usually helps. Remove the switch from the seat, unplug the harness, then on a work bench open the plastic housing for the switch (just depress a few plastic tabs with a flat blade screwdriver). Get on a pair of nitrile gloves in a well ventilated area and spray it down with electrical contact cleaner. Once it has evaporated use silicone grease to LIGHTLY lubricate the plastic hinge points of the switch (use a toothpick to keep it only on the hinges) and reassemble.
07 premium coupe. I've watched videos on cleaning the switch but it looks like a pita to get that apart. Thought if I could get a new switch it would last me as long as I own this car.
Looks like I'm an idiot for posting in the sedan section.
Here's a pic of the part
Thanks!

I'm almost 100% sure that's the wrong switch for a premium coupe, I have an '06 premium coupe and the switch I use looks like this one.

Available colors were tan/grey/black (wheat/stone/black is the official color) eBay has quite a few available in the $100 price range. You are correct about it being sold as an assembly with the lower seat cushion from the dealership.

OP is talking passenger seat. You have shown driver seat switch. Passenger does not have the two lift switches, only the two toggle switches.
