Random Little Question Thread
Not true for the fronts but I bet the back seats don't^^ The brackets are part of the seats so the whole assembly bolts to the floor with 4 bolts.
A lot of sedan owners have swapped coupe seats in the front, the wiring usually needs to be spliced to get all the functions to work but they bolt right on. I bought a set of coupe fronts with the intention of changing them on my car but they were in worse shape than I thought they were so I re-sold them.

As the motor, regulator, and seals wear the initial calibration no longer works. Recalibrate will buy you time but eventually you will need a new motor when the whole things fails, think of this as your early warning signal.

Update!! Finally had some time and nice weather to swap the switch.
Turns out that 87016-CD411 is NOT a replacement that works for the G. Connectors are different sizes. Thought I would share the knowledge.
I was going to do the switch cleaning, but just realized maybe I could just swap the internal switch pieces.
Will pull the new one apart to see how it ticks in preparation for swapping them out.
Big little question
Hey guys, I need some serious g35 owners help. While driving my 04 coupe major smoke came up the dashboard and melted plastic started dripping on my feet. After some dissection I have found that "some" electrical component must have shorted and destroyed itself along with the two wires attached. I now need to know what the hell that piece was in order to replace it. It sits above the vds/abs/tcs computer near the steering column and has a very thick red wire connected to it along with the remains of a wire that is whiteish with grey or silver horizontal marks on it. If anyone could tell me what that was it would be a life saver because the thing totally combusted and is no longer there at all so I can't replace it if I can't find out what it is! Serious appreciation to anyone that could help!

I would agree with you but ive traced the wires back to where they enter into the main wire harness connector behind the drivers kick panel. I agree with you about the fsm but I don't have one on hand, I do however have an online automotive shop equivalent of it but still have not been able to find any answers, hence why im asking others
