hey everyone just to update yall on what the solution was. It turned out to be a bad seal with the plenum gasket. I suspected it but didnt think it was that because only a few weeks ago i had the gasket replaced. on the good side i didnt get charged anything cuz they did a bad job. Glad they owned up to it.

Quote: Getting my timing chain tensioner replaced on Monday, as well as all the other tensioners, guides and chains since it will already be open haha. Fack! 12 hours labour, not cool. It is very rare though. The dealer said they sell like 2 kits a year lol.
How much are you being quoted for the job?

hey guys I just bought an 06 g35 coupe the guy I bought it from mentioned the car overheats after driving for 15 minutes. Also there's a High pitch noise from the right side of the engine bay sound like the belt or possibly the WATER PUMP? any suggestions?

Water pump is driven off the timing chain, pressure test your coolant system for leaks, pressure test your cap as well. Check between your radiator for debris accumulated between it.and the condenser. Test your thermostat for opening in 180° water. If all else passes change out the radiator. Check that BOTH fans spin at both high and low speed (high speed comes on when you push then AC button so easy to test). If you have a 2003 with a mechanically driven passenger fan test the fan clutch.

If all else passes swap out the radiator. Good chance you'll find the issue long before that.

Do research on how to bleed the coolant system.

Smallguy spray water on your drive belt when that happens, if the sound goes away you probably just need to tighten your belt or replace a cheap pulley.
