I wish I would have not bought the HKS and had gone with the Sebring in the first place, woulda saved me $220 ($65 for installation of muffler, includes fabbing up mandrel bent piping). Only benefit of the HKS is that it's a direct bolt on, but still, not like it costs a lot to get the work done. There are plenty of universal mufflers out there. Reason why they are universal is because you need to make custom piping. Typically they cost less than bolt on ones as well.

Just an FYI, Sebring muffler are common to find in Audi setups. It's from an Australian company I believe. It's no cheapie brand like those eBay mufflers, so don't get confused. I think people need to listen to how it sounds before they throw out that people need to stick to name brands that everyone gets. It gives people the complete wrong idea IMHO.
I haven't seen this muffler, pice and link to where you bought it. I have the HKS, but am considering the evap relocate and going true dual in the future. Might be a muffler to consider.

I got it from a local shop, but here's the link to it on his website:

It's the one titled "Oval Muffler Dual Tips SS 2.5" Core, 14" Long, Round Tips L/R".

I have a few sound clips, but it's not much.

Here's the first one with a coupe midpipe and Kinetix unresonated test pipes (whistling rasp is from the test pipes).


The very first clip in this vid is with a resonator delete on the midpipe with OEM cats and OEM y pipe. The rest is with no muffler, but I'll be making a vid when it stops raining on the no resonator w/Sebring muffler.


The difference between the midpipe resonator delete and having the coupe midpipe w/Kinetix test pipes is that the latter is a little louder but has rasp above 3k rpm due to the unresonated test pipes. Down the line I'll be going with Labree's resonated test pipes and see how that plays out, but I might need to throw a resonator back onto the midpipe if it's too loud (been pulled over by cops and I can't risk tickets).

Resonator delete?

hey guys im 18 and ive had my 2004 g35 coupe for a little under a year now. ive been setting up my photography buisness and have not had the chanceto do any tuning. im wondering how much a resonator delete cost, parts needed, and where i can get it done. thanks.

i just cleared my head lights today i was gonna buy new ones but i tired meguires plastic compound what a difference...i love meguires products they do better than they claim too. also id fix the damage before u buy a single thing

-well anyway here are my directions
-wash and dry the headight
put a little of the plastic polish on a round applicator and work a small part use some elbow grease youll start to hear it squeak
-next wipe the part you just worked on with a clean terry cloth give it a firm wipe(no homo)
- repeat until youve covered the whole head light then i went over the whole thing all at once for good measure and wiped with the terry cloth,
- when both lights are done put a quick deatiler over the headlight paste wax will cause yellowing

you can actually see the lines in what youve completed to what u havent touched heres a pic when i was done my car is an 03 as well



Note the G on the bottle has clear corners

Add 1 more teen to the list. I have a Red 2003 G35 Sedan A/T. I just plan to get lower (already have tein lowering springs), get NISMO Silver LM GT4 18"x8.5" FR, 18"x9.5" wheels (i know, its a long shot), and a new front bumper. I had a 2003 WRX but the motor blew. Now I've had it for about a year and love it. I'll be following this thread too

are you doing the exhaust first? Doing all that would be pricey and what you're getting out of it doesn't seem like it'd be the best bang for your buck.

But, geezus first get some Leatherique rubber dye and dye your side skirts or like that whole black part back to black.. that stands out the most when it's all faded.. not in a good way!

People have already posted what to do on the headlights so that should be easy enough to follow.. also there's a whole fat section dedicated to detailing located righttt here!
