I went to a uprev dealer today (Performance MotorSports) theexperience.com if you guys in NY want to check them out. Thoes guys checked my ecu to see if it was able to tune........Yes it its they just need to dump the ecu file because they dont have the rom for my particular ecu. As long as it dumps the ecu can be tune by uprev!!! If im explaining right but bottom line my september 02' production 2003 G35 sedan can be tuned..

It will definitely help with throttle response and I'm looking into getting the Blitz throttle controller, but my fear is that Blitz isn't aware that the 03 5AT sedan has a 2.5 V pedal vs the 5V pedal used in all the other VQ cars and it may not work right on the 03 5AT sedan. The connector is exactly the same between the pedals. Blitz lists the throttle controller as working for ALL 03-06 G35s. The infamous SprintBooster doesn't differiate between the years either, just transmission. I'm a bit worried.

I too am getting a bit fed up with the limitations of the 03 5AT sedans and TS pulling the plug on tuning is really upsetting. I'm very close to pulling the trigger on a 04 G coupe 6MT or maybe a 11 WRX base.

^Yes. Dave's is AT (his sig)

I'm guessing this shop is tuning the ECU in the same manner as TS did

If so, maybe they can setup a program where early ecus can be mailed in, reflashed, and returned, like TS.

If they're tuning old style ECU's, let us know, and let them know theres people interested.

I'm considering an Emanage, but if theres a company doing reflashes, I'm in...

I don't think there doing it the way TS did it. There doing a Uprev reflash they said I have the new ecu, but the factory service manual said I had the old one. Even when I called uprev in texas directly, they said my ecu isn't compatible with there product and they have no intentions on any tunes for the older ecu's. Then when I went to a tuning shop that does uprev tuning they plugged it up to the ecu and started dumping my ecu so it can be tuned. I think you should go to uprev or a dealer and have them try and tell you exactly if you can or cannot. I heard a lot of feed back on this subject I appreciate all you guy input.

I sincerely hope the best for you, but be prepared for it not to work. I believe someone had tested a Hypertech programmer on their 03 5AT sedan and everything appeared to work fine (ie the programmer talking with the ECU), but when it came time to upload the program, the ECU said NO WAY.
