THX I have the collars and an appointment with a mechanic and his lift tommorrow. I would like to get to the bottom of the collar debate as now it seems to have developed a couple sides. My bar is coming lose and rattling a bit over bumps -does this have anything to do with the collar?

Would rear sways fit on the G35x and make any difference?

I'm guessing the rear is the same ... but you best make sure w. a dealer. I do know the front bar for the 'X' is different, due to the half-shafts not present for the RWD models.

Exclamation

THX thank you for your insight on this problem. I was dissapointed to see how far my bar had shifted today at my garage. The problems was easily solved thanks to your work and finding the Mcmaster collars. All should be well now..thanks again.

For those of you with the Hotchkis sways - do yourself a favor and send them back or put these the collars on for 38 bucks...this is an issue that Hotckis needs to address even if they are in denial...

Your welcome. The credit goes to the guy on My350Z forum for finding the pieces that fits (more or less for the fronts). I was about to fabricate something like this when I found his post, which saved me a lot of time and grief.

This shifting issue is one of those that one don't readily see or feel and therefore often dismissed. The problem remains none the less. In my case, aside from the degradation in bar spring-rate, it actually shifted enough to come in contact w. my Coilovers ... creating a nice little ding!

Glad it's working out for you too.

dude, i noticed you asked 3 times and nobody responded. if you don't already know, it's about as easy as changing your sway bar.

thx723 - i'd take a picture of my stock sway in it's configuration, but it's already been tampered with. all there was when i removed the stock sways was the sway bar and the brackets that hold the bushings. no collars. i didn't even know i had an issue about anything until i read this. it was a simple one for one swap. that's why i was asking what model.
i've got a 2004 (not 4.5) sedan, a/t, sport package. i'm asking to see if anyone else has these stock collars with these specs. if so, please tell me.
thanks
