HELP!! g35 wont start

Hello, The other morning my g35 had trouble starting, well it just hesitated abit. I drove around all day turned the car off many times and it never occured again so i thought nothing of it. I went to work and came out and it wont start at all. I tried to boost it and nothing. I used a multimeter to check if there is 12 volts and there is. All the lights work and everything like that. There IS a clicking noise when I try to turn it over. My best guess is the starter is bad? any other ideas? any one experience the same problem? any help is greatly appreciated! Thanks.

As you stated, you hear a clicking noise, but there's power, it's probably a starter problem.

Its going to be either your starter or battery. If the battery does not have enough voltage to crank the car the starter will click or drag. If the starter is bad it would normally do nothing when you try to start it. If I was you I would jump it off if it starts its the battery if it doesn't its your starter.

When my started went bad, everything came on and I just heard a single click, but the engine never turned over. Replaced Starter, works every time..

Before you unnecessarily replace your starter, have your battery tested under load. Testing for 12v does nothing because if the battery is bad, that 12v will drop to 3G when you put an electrical load on it.

Test the charging system first, then look at the starter.

I took out the starter today and took it to a starter repair shop. They hooked it up to a battey and it spun. They said it was a "burnt connection" and that they will call me with a quote once they look at it. Does this sound like my car starting problem to you guys? I just dont want to get ripped off or pay for something i dont need. Thank you.

I'm currently having the same issue. I thought it was my battery but replaced that and found out it was my starter. Put ur key in the driver door and lock/unlock 5-7 times and after try to start it up and see what happens.
