New fad. Herra sunk bumper

Was sitting a stop sign. An old man in an accord wanted to make a left turn from my right. He cut the corner too close and clipped my front and actually went down an embankment. He went down some stairs and took out both stair rails and almost flipped. Sorry no pics of that. Basically it was an old man that was probably too old to drive. He had a hard time getting out of the car because it was at a 45 degree angle. He had to slide over and get out though the passenger side.

The odd thing is that it was snowing but it had nothing to do with the accident.

Good thing I never got my sport bumper done. And my windshield cracked.

For those of you that negotiated a sport bumper where you originally had a non sport, how did you do that?
Probably not a total though. Drove the car home and it seems to drive okay. Hood looks okay also. Bumper, fender, light, grill and whatever under the bumper is jacked.

So sorry to see Jeff, turns my stomach to see this happen to an enthusiast's car. Glad you're alright, sounds like the man needs to be re-tested for his license.

It's always good to get new parts though!

i think its between you and the bodyshop. Have the bodyshop quote you up a sport bumper VS a normal one. And get them to fax that into the insurance company. If that fails just pay the difference i guess.

Damn that really sucks! I hate drivers that are oblivious to their surroundings... old people... women on cell phones... etc.. I usually keep my distance from those people lol

You should be looking about $4k in damages... Well, sedan headlights might not be as expensive as coupe. but Mine was driver fender, bumper nad inner bumper, headlight and it was right at $4k

Truly glad you were not injured... This place needs you.

What did Kuneff originally say? Why did CandlestickPark have to edit?

Glad everyone is ok!

I do have a question though, when you say he wanted to make a left turn from your right, wouldn't the other side of your car be messed up then? Just curious

He was coming from my right. At an intersection. He wanted to make a left turn. But he cut the turn too short. So he hit my left front. The part closest to the lane he was supposed to be aiming for.
