Post YOUR G35s mileage thread!
just got 125200 miles on it. 06 G35 sedan 6 speed tranny. Car has had problems a lot, just changed oil in the engine. I put ELF EVOLUTION FULL TECH 5w30, AP class: SN- with newest additives. Oil is cheap 5L=35USD. I replaced it myself. Peace of cake. Car needs new fuel pump and also repair of cat. converters and front axle and some electronics in dashbord.
Got an update for the crew. I am now at 168000 miles. Thank god the car is still running like new. I do oil change ever 2500 miles. Changed the clutch once since I got it at 128000mi. I didnt burn it, I got a fresh oem clutch for 200 sum dollars so I just replaced the old one (which was soon to go). I was planning on doing a motor flush with Alcohol, good idea? Also, I dont think I ever replaced the differential fluid but I dont know if it needs to be changed or not? Any advice is well appreciated.

After rebuilding my motor for oil consumption I would personally not think a flush is necessary. At 180,000 miles my motor was pretty clean thanks to the aluminum block and heads the coolant channels were almost spotless. Little oil build up but as long as the oil is replaced regular it is probably all good.

Of course you should check the oil condition before to start change in tranny and in rear axle dfferential. engine oil you should chnge immediately.

Starting to worry a bit .. G35x is mainly "the wife's" car, and it's close to 120,000. Not much for 11 years -- it's a 2005 -- but fair amount of "town use". It HAS seen the Atlantic and the Pacific (we live in Nebraska). Just worked on the rear license plate -- bolts frozen up -- and the light above the license plate got bumped and FELL OUT. It was COMPLETELY rust/rotted! The car has always had Blizzaks in the winter .. we live in the hills -- and they salt the streets a bunch. 3.5 liter is starting to use a little oil -- maybe a qt every 3000 miles. first had to add between changes (full synthetic" at about 86k. What I posted here isn't for high mileage cars!
SLICK is currently showing 63K miles on her clock. Something amazing happened a few days ago, after making a run to Ventura harbor her gas gauge was down to 1/4 and I needed WIX oil filters for both my cars. While at the Auto Parts store I bought Red Line injector cleaner which I added leaving the store even though it's supposed to be for a full tank. Driving to my Chevron station I noticed a difference in SLICK and her throttle response! Evidently Ca. gas had been clogging up her injectors will all their additive B.S.! This is like a tune up, quarter tank and add the whole bottle of Red Line and drive for a couple miles before filling up, results are very noticeable...Gary

G35 sedan w/ too much money in mods
This is a sedan thread so GTFO, lol just kidding.
137K on my 05 sedan, just replaced a cracked radiator and thermostat. I've spent less than $500 on anything other than routine maintenance and the figure includes the rad, thermostat and both front lower control arms which I would consider wear and tear items anyway.
She burns oil like **** though, almost 2 quarts in 5k miles and it's a 5AT. Motor still runs strong as it always has, no loss of power according to my most recent dyno trip.
