did mine yesterday, all in all it was a good experience(besides a crapload of ATF that didnt drain spilled on me when i was lowering the pan). my tranny isnt slipping so ima continue to do em and there was hardly anything on my magnets so that makes me think that the guy that had it before me had been doing them somewhat regularly. suuuper easy, imo its just a step above an oil change! and thats only because it sucks trying to figure out how much ATF you drianed. I'm definitely looking for a clear plastic bucket with fluid level measurements in quarts on the outside.

After all of this (including the most recent posts) you're asking if you should do it yourself or pay someone?

If you do as you say you want to do and just do a drain and fill, this is EASIER than an oil change.

I was not going to come back to the topic, but I will answer some of the questions here.

Change your engine oil with a five quart jug of Mobile1 from Mal-Wart.
This will give you a jug to put you used ATF fliud in with quarts and liters on the side for a reference.

Screens and AT pan gaskits.
Pretty much all Nissans have the same basic Automatic transmission.
In this thread I did a G35, 350z, Titan LE.
I used the same part number for all three.

There really is no need for a video.
It is so simple to do this project. There aren't even any special tools needed.
You should already own every tool needed in a basic tool kit.
10mm and 19mm wrench. Gaskit scrapper - A sharp wide wood chissel will do the job the fastest.

The hardest part of the whole job is acquiring the Nissan Matic-S.
If you get it online, UPS will bring it to your house. So really the hardest part is waiting for it to arrive.

You could probably pull this job off the first time for around 65.00 and forty minutes.
Much less the next time. I think I did my Titan in under twenty minutes, since I didn't have to jack it up. I also used and air rachet. It pops those little bolts out quickly.

Question: So the screen is the pan with the magnets then Wat is this other pan looking thing that isn't shaped like the pan or the gasket that comes with the filter kit? I mean common sense tells me if the part you buy looks exactly like the one you need to replace you replace it but wat is it part of the filter?
Any one got the torque sequence? Any one also experience hard kick down into 1st while in Mmode while shifting down kinda fast going 12 or 20 mph 2300 to 3000 rpm while applying the breaks?
