I think for my OEM, it got to 27k and still had 70% left.

I would take her to a Nissan dealership there just to have her checked out and make sure there's nothing wrong with the brakes (yes Bob I can use proper verbiage), that's really quick for pads to wear out.

ECU does no such thing. Remember when you clear a CEL you clear the WHOLE ECU. Fuel trims, prev records and of course your engine fault. EVEN if it did record your mileage it would be wiped away. People here reset their ECU's all the time, their mileage doesn't get reset, if it did, we all would sell our cars with 5 miles on them.





also you guys posting up percentages, who tells you this stuff? How much pad material is stock? You should know that to have a proper percentage, the guys at the dealerships almost never measure, they just eyeball. Now the guy posting up 8mm, he makes more sense but that is only if he removed the caliper to measure the pad. I look at pads because i've seen them so much and i either tell people, its like new, half worn or on its last legs. I'm not busting out the measuing caliper to measure actually pad life.


Back on topic, you still didn't tell us why you THINK/FEEL you need brakes. Now if you wanted to do it based off the fact its been sitting there, thats not a bad idea. I think i replaced my OE pads in the 40-50k area. Then I did them again at 60k, but that was purely because i got new rotors and had pad warranty.

 

Ive replaced a ECU on our cars and the new ECU zeroed out the mileage, untill we took it to the dealership and had the actual mileage programed into the ECU.

 

I think I need new pads because I see only less than 2mm left on them.
found that unusual on a car with 20k miles on it. After your answers it seems so. So now I wanna know if I can check if the milage was tampered with. It looks inside an out like 20k miles or less, very clean.
