doggie door owners!!!

ive got a 03 desert platinum with the doggie door.any of you thought about using body filler around the doggie door and filling in the infiniti lettering? better yet anyone done it and have pictures? i like the fact that there arent many doggie doors out there, but in my opinion it doesnt look good! i think it would look good with just the opening for the button/latch dohicky

Theres a black sedan somewhere on the forum that did exactly that. It looks good imo. Im gonna do the same thing. I like the convenience.of the handle but i want everything else shaved

Doggy doors are a rare and special breed! I hated mine when I first got my 03 and wanted to do a trunk swap. But now I would rather have the doggy over anything else because it's unique. Check out this thread for some kick-azz sedans w/ doggies: https://g35driver.com/forums/media-s...ggy-style.html

If you don't like the busy-ness of the door, maybe just try to debadge it for now and go from there...

A shaved doggy door while retaining the handle would be even more unique and look much cleaner

I considered it, but seeing that it would likely cost $400+ to repaint and fill the lid, I purchased a used non-doggy lid for $275. I also wanted to get the ugly OEM wing off the back of the car too.

Yea I thought about doing a trunk swamp but desert platinum is a rare color from what I see and I think it would be a hassle trying to find the trunk release switch next to the VCD button and connecting all that. Besides, what's more rare than a shaved doggie door!
