Weird headlight issue

Alright to start off my headlights have aftermarket hids. Never have they given me a problem.
They've been working fine till now. As I'm leaving a friends house I go to turn my lights on and everything lights up fine except the headlights. I turned the car off and on to see if maybe that'll help, switching them on and off and nothing. Hazards work. I pop the hood and both ballast don't prime.

Has anyone encountered this issue or might now what the problem may be??
Fast response would be appreciated!

Is it possible that it could be a fuse or relay?

Tomorrow I will be taking the car to a mechanic that's helped me back then with a previous car, but would like to see if I can solve it myself first.

I'd say it's your fuse. Hardly a chance they'd go at the same time.

If that's the case, be glad it's just a few bucks for a fuse and not $100 for some ballasts.

That's what I'm saying, it can't go at exactly the same time.
And the fuse would be located in the cabin correct?

It should be located behind the batter. What you need to do is pull the the trim on that left side. Pop the tabs, and tug on that trim that's attached to the windshield and it should come out. I was able to reach mine fine without having to pull the battery or anything crazy.

Not sure what year you're driving but on 05/06 the following fuses are all involved:
in the IPDM (engine compartment)
10A #71
15A #76
15A #78
15A #86
in the fuse, fusible link, relay box (engine compartment)
50A letter F
in the fusebox (passenger compartment)
10A #1
10A #6
10A #14
10A #18
10A #19
You get the idea... Hopefully it's just something that simple.

Did you use a relay harness when you installed your after market kit?

Well the car actually came with them. So don't know if the previous owner did a relay.

If a relay was used, it should be fairly easy to spot. It would also probably have one fuse for both headlights in the harness somewhere that might be your culprit.
