Just got my Megan racing oe rs exhaust installed on my 05 g35x today!

Sounds nice and deep and loud but not to loud. Just louder then stock, a decent amount louder. It sounds like it is amplifying the deepness of my z tube. I could not be happier with this purchase price etc! 100$ installed at a local muffler shop since I didn't have time to do it myself with work.

My stock flanges were rusted rite off pretty much lol. That's what canadian winters and all that salt does to the bottom of a car!

Pics and video later this evening!

Sounds sick! Canadiotica, I think your '05 is an X right?

Did you end up getting it with the Y pipe or not and if you did, did it clear the X transfer case?

Lastly, did the muffler shop have to do anything to the exhaust hangers or did it fit without any modifications?

Please let me know. I want to pick one of these up! Thanks!

I just have the Y-back. Using stock Y pipe. And everything bolted up fine no modifications needed.

I need to find out also what Y pipes and Hi flow cats fit on the AWD as well.

And yes 2005 Infiniti g35x sedan

It sounds like a few people have taken off the Megan midpipe and put their stock or coupe midpipe back on. Anyone have video clips of how this setup sounds?

After couple of hundred miles it's quieter now. I really love the sound. My favorite mod so far.

Ordered mine on Monday and it arrived today! I think it's a little too loud for my taste, so i'm currently running the muffler with my coupe midpipe. I'm going to see how much it quiets down over the next little bit and I might put my sedan midpipe back on to quiet it down even more. Overall I like it, though!

No it's not...but on an automatic it doesn't sound as cool IMO. Plus it's my daily driver and I have a wife and kid so I want to keep it reasonable.

This was my exact sentiment, and why I'm running mine with the stock sedan mid. The rear section is plenty loud enough on it's own.

Yeah I agree. With the coupe mid it's ok...I really like the sound above 3000rpm (where it sounds like pulses instead of a tone), but on Saturday after work I'm going to try pulling my sedan mid pipe back on and see how that sounds.

Once I get that all figured out I need to figure out how to adjust the position of the muffler. I think I want it to sit a tad higher.

I was planning to post an update to this thread today, funny how it was bumped. Anyway, its pretty quiet now and It sounds just like how my car sounded with coupe middy and HR Y. Just a little bit more audible.

Driving around town its really good and I sometimes wish it was louder .

Lets just say I look forward to pulling into a toll booths so I can hear the G roar!
