Opinion on a sedan 335

I called a local used car lot that goes to the auctions and asked him to look for a 2008/2009 to replace my aging 2003. Looking at his site I saw a 2008 335 sedan with the M package the car seems to be fully equipped and has only 40,000 miles. I would give him my car and I would be able to drive off the lot for $20,000. Is this a good price and are they solid cars and do those twin turbo's work well. My G has been a charm for the last 9 years but this car just looks so good and 0-60 in under 5 seconds. Just don't know too much about bimmers, help guys..

15k-17k out the door will make more sense if you are giving your car too with it.

Why not keep the G if it is been a good car?

Specs on your G and the 335?

Mileage, options, etc.

That would help a ton.

335i have reported to put down 300hp to the wheels. That would be one good reason to upgrade from the 03 G

I'd sort of like to know from those in the "know". How have these turbo 335s been holding up? I know of the cooling issue of the early ones but in general? I'm really learly of European cars so I'd have to make sure they are pretty rock solid before considering

Yeah, I'd be hesitant to own a euro car out of warranty.

Haha I had an 02 Jetta VR6 with 100k on it. Didn't really have any major problems with it, but right after I sold it the alternator went out

It's all about how german cars were maintained and cared for, like any other car but more. I am also a pretty big believer on you either get a good car or you don't. No matter what make, model, year, etc.

It's also cost of replacement parts. Although the japs car part prices are getting up there also.

Haha the parts for that car were unbelievably cheaper than the parts for this car let alone a bmw.

I'm sure it had something to do with how old the car was but the parts were surprisingly cheap.

After owning an Audi A4, can't say I ever want to own another german automobile. it was poorly designed straight from the factory and had all sorts of little problems, none of which were cheap to fix. I'd imagine BMW would like to pull your wallet out through your *** as well.

335i is a nice handling and powerful car. Things to watch out for are fuel pump issues, injectors going bad, and carbon build up on the intake valves. If the car does not come with a warranty I would not touch it!!!! The Fuel pump is the number one problem
