"re-ignite" the engine when it is already running. Not sure what the correct terminology is, but last night I forgot that the engine was already on, and I turned the key again. How bad is this for the car? It has 300 miles.
I've noticed with some domestic cars they will not make that annoying sound when you turn the key when the car is already on. Not sure if this is some sort of safety feature, but why don't our G's have it?
Hopefully some of you have noticed the same thing.

That annoying 'noise' is your starter engaging and trying to turn your flywheel. Since the flywheel is moving already the sprocket on the starter grinds to the flywheel. Other then that I don't think it will hurt anything.

Don't let 'em fool you bro. It's not toast at all........
But it will cost about $3k to fix.
-----------
J/k bro. Don't worry about it,. The worst that could happen is you had to replace the ring gear and/or the starter, but only if you did that every day for a month.
The occasional 'BooBoo' like that won't do anything.
No worries.
See, I just saved you $3k.
