Cliffs notes anyone?
Puts a vented catch can on a PCV valve
Caps (closes it off) the intake manifold line (no vac leaks, no codes)

Claims that eliminating vac you eliminate oil getting into the intake even with a catch can.
Claims that catch can (closed system not vented) only catches 50% of oil, rest still goes to intake.
Free vented system with vac line plugged up, does not cause oil vapor to escape crank case cuz there is no vacuum.

Thanks.

I do think there is the potential for issues. Now i'm only speculating here because I haven't done actual testing myself on a VQ engine, but the issue I see if creating another flow path for air to get into the engine other than through the MAF.

Now, it depends wholly on the vac line plumbing on the VQ, but the fact that the VQ draws so much oil in through the manifold leaves me hesitant to install an open vented style breather without confirming that the A/F ratio was still in target.

I'll watch the vid later in case i'm missing something

I was going to install one of these, but a closed system. I am looking for a "coalescing" filter for this. At the least, I will stuff the "catch can" full of Stainless steel scrubbing pads to give it something to coalesce on.
