melting dash?

Are the 05 G's susceptible to the Nissan "melting dash" phenomenon? On warmish, not even hot days I've been noticing my sun shield sticking to the dash right behind the clock area.... leaving behind a dash colored textured imprint on the shield surface.

Any ideas on minimizing this?

Use a window shade. It makes the difference of about 40 degrees on the dash surface. (Tested with my own temp guage)

No, but the are prone to "cracking dash" syndrom. Pretty good thread on here about that.

Yeah....mine's cracked. But it's right at the lower seam. Not too noticeable though. Not like some Acura TLs that I know of.

Tinting front is illegal in NJ too! My x was tinted already buf not so dark you cant be seen. I think it is 25%. Cops never bothered me. It seems like since NJ did away with safety insp. Cops seem.more relaxed about it.

It is the one thing you look out to drive the car 99% of the time. Do not tint the front!

Tint on the front windshield is illegal in all 50 states below the A4 line.

My friend has a tinted windshield. Was a great idea until 1 night in the rain when he hit a person with it. Fortunately it wasn't a big deal just a little tap, but he didn't even see the guy.

Ever since then, I haven't really been a fan of tinted windshields or excessive tint in general.

I have several cop friends and they say they usually let illegal tint on the side windows slide a bit, but a tinted windshield is a ticket all day long.

If you tint to dark you will regret it. I didnt tint mine the original owner did. He went light tint works for me! No dried out or ripped leather! I think its20% tint. It works keeps car cooler in these hot Ga summer days!
