The chart is more important than the max...

Quote: i didnt hear back from the tuner today and there closed i think tomorrow. ill def post when i have a sheet. 9 psi with a si impellar and a 2.87 pulley just doesn't make sense to me
As long as your curve is smooth and A/F is right, your max numbers mean nothing. Final numbers are nothing but bragging rights. Numbers vary greatly depending on car and dyno and it's not wise to compare to other people's.

I can def agree with that, the only thing the im really in doubt about is having only 9 psi with a si impellar and a 2.87 pulley. I have not seen anyone with such low psi or numbers from this combo.

Quote: Higher than I expected. Congrats.

If you are wondering why the numbers arent adding up, it was probably done on a dyno jet. They are notorious for very generous numbers.

Dynojets always give the highest numbers, they are inflation machines. But again, numbers dont really matter much as long as your A/F curve is correct.

No I meant dynojet. No one ever discusses dynopacks, because chassis dynos are rarely ever used. Roll on dynos are pretty much all you ever see in the states.

Dynojets notoriously gives the highest numbers. Mustang typically read 7-8% lower and dyno dynamics typically read 10-12% lower and are referred to as heart breakers. Dynojets own marketing in the mid-90's specifically used the larger output numbers as a selling item. Shops want to give customers the highest numbers possible, so many bought dynojet and it kinda became the standard.

About 4-5 years ago a guy with a modified 325i ran a test and had his car dynoed on 4 different types of dynos all on the same day.
Quote:
The SAME CAR on the DIFFERENT DYNOS. So our test vehicle output on the various dynos are as follows:
Dyno Dynamics 200hp
Superflow 206hp
Mustang 214hp
Dynojet 226hp

all that money spent building your engine and that's all you got from an upgraded blower? wow. I've seen same numbers on stock gz with a vortech kit. and Hub dynos are great for tuning. sure the peak hp and tq will be higher but that's not the goal. they read at the hubs accurately and tune from there. if you ask me it's the best tuning method available

why do people think dynopacks read "higher" when it's more likely that the mustang dynos read inaccurately lower..
