Whatever the case, I will take it easy on the X for the first 1200 miles or so. A little care here won't hurt. So far, I just enjoy driving it. I think it will be alot more fun once the 18s go on. The Goodyears (not blowtenzas) it came with are decent in the snow, but I am sure they will fall short in the dry with agresive driving in corners.

Good for you Bobby, I agree with you 100 per .I believe it is wise to follow the manufacturer's advice for break-in. Even though this has been beaten to death, the question will always be resurrected cause folks are buying new rides and want to take care of them. I agree with all of your statements and also I would never buy a leased vehicle and one of those reasons is what Doogie said (a lot of people that lease don't care about the "longevity of an engine" and vehicle). I do like the use of synthetics, but after at least 10,000 miles.
